This local south facing beach gets surf mostly in the summer. The Mom's and Dad's are pushing the kids into there first waves, kids of all ages are catching there first waves and everyone is cheering. There are also very good surfers there. Mostly long boarding. A little FYI there are rocks. At low tide you can see them. The Sea Gulls are a problem with pollution and there is run off from God knows where. Can't recommend going in after a storm. There is metered parking (less expensive) outside as well as the state beach parking (hefty fee).
