Place is crowded. A little pricey. The food was ok. Service was ok. Who wants a clean place for a buffet? I do and this is not one of them. Do not expect Reno or Vegas buffet. This is not one of them. I would honestly not recommend this restaurant.

Heard about this place for a while, we went to give it a try on Father's Day, seafood were all having bad smell, sashimi were all in water, even those cooked oyster & claim are very bad taste. I believe all foods are having a lot MSG, after the meal, all of us keep drinking water and still feel thirsty. The price is $24.99 p.p. Don't waste your money and time here!!

Prices a bit high, food is now average as compared to 6 months ago and 12 months ago. Kome also located in Daly City was a better bargain which has since deteriorated within the last 2 months

The buffet food here is delectable! And, there's a huge variety--chinese, japanese, noodle bar, crab, real ice cream, desserts galore, a chocolate fondue fountain, and even cotton candy! We mainly came here for the crab. They have crab cracker tools, but they're not provided automatically. You have to ask for them. The service is great. The servers come by periodically to pick up the plates you've finished. The atmosphere is pretty festive. When it's someone's birthday, the servers break out a huge Chinese/Japanese Taiko drum and start singing a modified rendition of the "happy birthday". The restaurant is fairly large. Moonstar seems to be a popular place to host large groups celebrating special occasions. There was a designated face painting area for kids to enjoy. Whenver we drive by or come by, it's always crowded and busy! The best thing we liked is the variety and quality of food. The least thing we liked is the price, but in all fairness, it is average and representative of the high cost of living in the Bay Area.
