“Good food, but watch the $$$”
Reviewed May 15, 2012

We went to Dynasty to celebrate a birthday lunch for some co-workers and I was the lucky one who got to pay the bill!
The food was nicely prepared and presented.
Service was attentive.
Portions were decent sized for our group.
We had a large assortment of dishes.... several favorite dim sum items along with an Assorted Barbeque Platter, Chinese Broccoli with oyster sauce, an oyster mushroom dish, Honey Walnut Prawns, Mongolian Beef..... our list goes on and on. All were good but not outstanding..
We even tried the Mango Jello dessert in the shape of a fish....
Somehow the bill for 11 of us came out to $350... pretty steep for lunch at an establishment like this.
If we return, we will need to closely monitor what is ordered...
Additionally, I will have to hope that someone else gets the honor of paying the tab!

“Excellent food and value”
Reviewed January 30, 2012

Went to Dynasty in January 2012 with my wife. Neither of us are big eaters, and we had only four servings of dim sum. The quality of the food was very high – on par with the over-priced (and over-hyped) Yank Sing in San Francisco. Service was courteous and efficient. Total bill, including tip, was less than $25. I’ll be going back soon.

“Enjoyed Dim Sum lunch for Chinese New Year”
Reviewed January 23, 2012

If you are running a Chinese restaurant in Cupertino, and it's located hidden in a half empty shopping mall, it had better be pretty special in order to attract customers. If my first visit to Dynasty is any indication, this place is succeeding. I went with a group of co-workers to celebrate Chinese New Year. The large dining area was packed. It had the lively, hectic ambience similar to the large Dim Sum places in Chinatown. We sampled a huge variety of dishes, some ordinary, some exotic (I had never tried jellyfish before). Everything was fresh and tasty. We did not hold back on our orders including some yummy desserts, but our bill still came in at less than $20 per person.

I'm not sure this would be a great choice for a quiet intimate meal, but if you are looking for Dim Sum and you can find your way to the far north end of the Vallco center, you will be rewarded with an enjoyable meal.

“Hong Kong Style”
Reviewed July 28, 2011

This was a good dim sum restaurant that reminded me a little about Hong Kong. overall Dim Sum quality was good and service was very good. The whole family came (total 7)...grandson (only 4 months)...he slept through it...through Great Grandma age 96. I was very impressed when Great Grandma had to go to the ladies room one of the gals walked her into the ladies room and waited for her to help her back to the table. That was a nice touch.

“Excellent Chinese food in South Bay”
Reviewed October 15, 2009

One of the best Chinese seafood, in Cantonese style, restaurants in the entire Northern California region, especially for Silicon Valley. Lunch Dim Sum (Chinese tea cake) is one of the best, and is local favorite. Be prepare to wait for lunch (put your name on list) or come early, but you can make reservation for dinner. Very popular for banquets in the weekends. Yes, pricey. Best come with larger group to enjoy with friends and family. Parking in the mall (large parking structure in the back of the mall). Some items in menu has photos, to help you see what you get. But, I do recommend the person should know what they doing when ordering. Multiple separate small and large dinning rooms and large dinning banquet hall inside further in the restaurant. Good selection of food, particularly top priced seafood, such as steamed fish. Cooking and taste are superb. Highly recommended. This restaurant is the sister restaurant of the same name in San Jose.
