“A gem”
Reviewed May 22, 2014

I go to LA on business regularly and stumbled upon this gem when another hotel was full. It is now my favorite little home away from home when I am there. The building is fun, classic and the refurbished rooms are a wonderful combination of old and modern. The rooms are stylish and the beds are made with fresh white sheets and down comforters. But it's the staff the makes it a great experience. David, the front desk manager, is a perfect host. Is always so gracious, classy and wanting to make your stay as good as can be. The rest of the crew is great, too. Drinks and food are also terrific. The location can be a bit noisy, but i like having windows that can open for some real fresh air.

I talked the extended family into having Mother's Day brunch at the hotel because I wanted to check out the hotel as a possible place to stay when a friend comes to town. The meal was very tasty - everything about it. The baked sea bass was so good that even the little children enjoyed eating it - a rare happening. While the food selection was a bit limited compared to comparably priced brunches, absolutely everything was delicious. And the hotel is charming. My sister and I asked to see a room with two beds and we were taken on a tour of the upper floors, seeing the charming new "ballroom" where clean up was taking place from a wedding the previous day. And the two-bed room was really lovely - kind of turn of the last century San Francisco gaslight style. This was the deluxe two-bed room - very pretty, spacious, and comfy. I went ahead and booked a room for next month. While the brunch was very good, I have to say that it felt even better due to the ambiance of the hotel. It was lovely, it was beautiful, it was peaceful, and we could hear ourselves talk. Service was quite adequate but we could see it was variable. Some of the tables were brought a selection of desserts without being asked as a convenience - ours was not. Nonetheless, our service was adequate. The one thing that bothered me is that we kept our eye on a big puddle of spilled water as staff came and went. After about 15 minutes we cleaned it up ourselves to prevent any accident. Just a bit odd that it was not seen or was ignored. In no way was the brunch spoiled by this incident and I look forward to returning in the future for additional, intimate, lovely Sunday brunches.

Perfect privately owned alternative to Beverly Hills properties. Perfect relaxed yet sophisticated environment for our off-site business meetings. Rooms are very comfortable and the staff is outstanding as you might find in a family business. My team's new favorite.

This past weekend our cousin was married at The Culver Hotel. We cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff and accommodations! Every member of the staff was friendly, warm, and willing to help anyone with anything! The rooms were charming and the continental breakfast in the morning was light & delicious. The whole experience had a very European feel with freedom to lounge throughout the hotel in a lovely setting. The area is adorable too and the location can't be beat.
We travel extensively and this is my first trip advisor review. I felt inspired to share this gem. David at the front desk is amazing! Thanks for making our family feel so welcome and making this such a special event!

A Hotel that I was simply amazed by. We were a large group in Los Angeles on a very tight work production schedule - we asked the impossible and this hotel delivered - unusual in my experience.
Not only were we accommodated in the most splendidly lavish rooms we were met with a fantastic service. Detail is important to us and this hotel has it. I cannot recommend this lovely dwelling highly enough. My group were very fortunate to have stayed here.
I must also mention the attentive waiting service in the restaurant and bar - we were a working group with unsocial hours and were very impressed with the staff doing their best to accommodate us wherever they could.

The Culver Hotel - a stunning little boutique hotel with an amazing team, clearly led by a fantastic GM.

Room Tip: Best place in Culver City - driving to Marina Del Rey and Venice beach Great for Production at Son...

Culver City is a great area! The Culver Hotel is 20 minutes from everything! With LA traffic being as bad as it is...The Culver Hotel was centrally located to everywhere I wanted to go. Other than the perfect location...they have: live entertainment EVERY NIGHT IN THE BAR/LOBBY, amazing decor, completely remodeled 40+ gorgeous rooms and suites, daily brunch, best happy hour in town.
I will stay at The Culver Hotel during my next trip to LA.

Room Tip: We had room 40 and 41, couldn't have asked for better rooms.

i stayed two nights in the culver hotel the week of february 17, 2014. what a joy! my room, number 48, was at the wide end of the wedge shaped building. the room was quite sizable, with a desk, wardrobe, couch, coffee table and what not. the bed was probably the most comfortable bed I've ever had in all of my travels! room 48 is on the cuilver blvd side of the building. despite the traffic, it never bothered me. really there isn't any noise. there's a coffee pot in the room, too.

the simple breakfast was quite fine and you can also order more than just the muffins and coffee. breakfast is served in the lounge area, which is part of the overall main entrance area of the hotel. the lounge is fantastic! i very much encourage you to have an evening drink in the lounge and unwind from the day. many locals enjoy the culver hotel lounge.

culver city is starting to really impress me, there's plenty of night life including an actual back alley bar where i visited on a tuesday night and heard live music with real band - real bass and a trombone playing lead vocalist. great drinks too!

go and enjoy!

Room Tip: i liked room 48, and will gladly stay in it again.
