Had a good stay here and would stay here again. It has a nice-sized outdoor pool and all the accommodations you would need. There is also a bar and restaurant in the lobby which is open fairly late. There are no decent restaurants within walking distance, so you will need a car. there is a hugs mall across the street with a food court, however.
It is about a 15-minute drive to Venice Beach and the hotel is about 10 minutes on side streets from LAX airport.
Unfortunately, parking is not included with the hotel rate and is an additional $12/day.
I was on the top floor and my room was at the very end of the hall so it was very quiet. Comfy beds, free water and free newspaper every day.

We had a quick stop in LA and wanted a hotel close to LAX Airport but also with a shopping mall nearby. This hotel looks like its recently renovated. The rooms a nice, clean, modern updates. I saw other reviews complain about the size of the bathroom and room. It might be smaller than normal but if you have travelled in the UK its big by comparison. Perfectly fine for a good nights sleep. The Westfield Shopping Mall is a 2-5 min walk across the street with lots of shops and restaurant options. The Cab/Taxi ride to the airport is only about $10.

my boyfriend and I came down here for 3 days & didn't know where to stay. the hotels by Venice are too expensive and not all that. we came across this hotel on trip advisor and booked our stay.it is about 10 mins. away from Venice beach, 30 mins away from the natural histiory museum & 30 mins away from the walk of fame. so its not bad at all. the hotel is across the street from a 3 story mall that has a target and olive garden, bjs restaurant, five guys burgers and a bunch of other stores. the location is excellent. not overcrowded or noisy and its safe. rooms are very clean..free wifi, excercise room..parking is $12/day. if you can't find where to book I recommend this place. you wont be dissatisfied. very comfy beds too!!

Check in staff verry friendly and helpful, did their best to accomodate me. I was able to leave luggage before my check in. Bar has a great atmosphere, food was average but there are other choices available acroos the road at the mall. Buses easy to catch there too. NO shuttle is the only downfall I had with this hotel. Room clean and bed very comfy. Bathrooms not large but I don't expect them to be. I book through web and got good price, not sure I would pay the hotel rate to stay.

The property has seen better days and even though it was very clean and the staff helpful the property had the look and feel of the 1970's or 80's. The hotel rates are in line with what you get. The restaurant is basic with a limited menu and close early. We were unable to find much to do in the area around the hotel and found a lack of restaurants in the area.The area around the hotel seems safe and a Westfield Mall and a small strip mall are both walking distance.

While the rooms/bathrooms are small the hotel was recently renovated throughout. They have the best pool in the area I have found and is good fo lap swimming. It is 50-60 feet at its longest point. The pool has a nice deck as well. For a small hotel they have a great breakfast buffet. As a Startwood Platinum Member this is included with the stay for at least 1 day. Try to avoid rooms facing the 405 as they rend to be more noisy. The hotel is across from a large mall that has a wide range of restaurants that for once in LA you don't need to get into your car to go to.

Room Tip: Try to get on the 8th floor facing away from the 405

This hotel has no shuttle from the airport. We took the Doubletree shuttle with some friends who were staying there and then had to walk over with our luggage. We arrived before check-in, so they let us store our luggage in a back room while we went out for lunch. Check-in was a long process and the clerks were rather rude overall to the customers. Breakfast was expensive and not worth the price at all; it tasted like breakfast from an interstate exit diner.
We asked for a roll-away for two nights and had to ask repeatedly throughout both days because we didn't get it the first night. I reserved it several weeks ahead of time and they still gave them all out before we checked in. After the second night, I let them know that we no longer needed it and again had to remind constantly because it was still there when we left several days later. They still tried to charge us for it, and were again rude when we tried to sort it out during checkout.
The rooms were also nothing special. The beds and decoration were more similar to a budget hotel and the bathroom needs to be updated.
The location is okay with a mall across the street and a bus stop right outside, but right now the area seems to have a lot of construction, so walking to a local restaurant involves walk under an unlit overpass through some construction, so it's a bit sketchy.
Overall, it is certainly not worth the price, and you should stay across the street at Doubletree for the same price but a better experience.

I am very disappointed to hear that your most recent visit with us did not meet your expectations particularly our hotel does not offer shuttle service, long check in process,breakfast was expensive, had to ask for a rollaway bed twice, and rude staff. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. Rudeness of our staff is unacceptable and is never tolerated at our hotel. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance from our hotel as well we are adjacent to the mall. Our guest rooms have been newly renovated and we are currently working on replacing a brand new heavy duty double pane windows as well. I am very surprised about our breakfast because we always get compliments about our breakfast and great comments on the made to order omelets in our omelet station. We are competitively prices for the market especially in our area. I am very sorry that we failed you on this occasion and your stay was completely a disappointing one. It is our job to make sure that our staff meets all your needs during your visit with us and it is disappointing me personally that we failed to deliver to complete satisfaction. I do hope that you will give us another opportunity to redeem ourselves in the future. Again, my sincerest apologies for not meeting your expectations.
