“Great Food, Great Drinks, Great Service”
Reviewed January 12, 2012

This restaurant has gone from strength to strength. It's has a loyal following, and is always attracting new clientele. It's reputation continues to grow, and it's not surprzing. There's a happy hour menu - where you can enjoy the options of the dinner menu for reduced prices. The wild Mushroom pizza is delicious - with a thin crust. Even though this is a Brit Gastro pub, the food is 5 star. There's a wide selection of menu items for all tastes. I quiet often opt for a couple of appetizers and a salad.

They do knock out desserts - the last time we had dinner there, we ordered one of each... there was a group of us, and the mini donuts were delicious and sinful.

There's a great selection of beers on tap and in the bottle, and the wine is really reasonably priced.

Look out for their happy hour cocktail or wine selection on the board.

What a treat to have an enjoyable dinner with my family in a restaurant that practices excellent customer service. Very accomidating, they have a variety of food and it's kid friendly.

“For the adventuresome palate”
Reviewed December 11, 2011

This restaurant has a casual, cool atmosphere. The menu is extensive, with a lot of variety. There were a lot of daily specials in addition to the printed menu on the evening we went. If you are looking for a straighforward steak, or salad, or even a burger, this isn't the place for you. Some of the dishes our group had were a filet mignon roasted with a red wine sauce, served with an escargot pie and beer battered broccoli. Or a Yukon Gold potato gnocchi with a lamb cheek ragu. The pizzas range from a butter chicken curry to a bbq tri tip, all very tasty, and were the tamer items on the menu. A Wellington was delicious, it was served with salsify wrappen in pork jowl. There are a lot of choices like fois gras, sweetbreads, wild boar terrine etc. Even the salads are adventuresome, one choice was a roasted beet salad with goat cheese and candied walnuts. The ceasar salad had a poached egg on top with duck prosciutto and anchovies. The dessert was very good, with the sticky toffee pudding winning the vote for the best choice at our table.

“Excellent food.”
Reviewed November 20, 2011

The food was excellent from the appetizer (yellowtail crudo) to the main course (Capellini and Beef Wellington) to the dessert (Toffee Pudding). The atmosphere is a bit noisy though so not best for a romantic date. They should spend some money on redoing the ceiling and placing some sound-absorbing material. I gave it five stars based on the food.

“comfy, unique and wonderful”
Reviewed November 4, 2011

I have lived in the area for 20 years, and am always looking for a place where I feel comfortable, and can eat and drink and have a nice time. This is it. Although I admit that I have to ask for descriptions of some of the more weird menu items, I always like what I eat. Happy hour is great; staff and owners and bartenders wonderful, and open late--a rare thing in these parts. And the house-made ice cream is superb. I also like the one communal table, so I can chat with neighbors and new friends.
