"Duck" is a place far away from the city of Thessaloniki. It is not easy to find it, but once you are there, you realize it is not necessarily bad thing to be away from all the busy life and concentrate on the gastronomic delight. The place is nice, light and offers a beautiful experience on a sunny day. The service is far more better than in a typicall Greek restaurant. The food is excellent as well. I prefer fish and seafood (raw or not). Everything is matched with exceptional wine, so the experience is really amazing.

Located in a remote suburban and a bit industrial area outside city's centre, duck is a hidden gem which has nothing to be jealous of other similar downtown restaurants. Got many things to spoil you too, making it a "worth driving the extra mile to get there" option. You can always combine it with a visit to the nearby shopping mall (Mediterranean cosmos).

Starting from a stunning outdoor wooden floor yard with lovely minimal tableware, decorated not heavily but in great taste and style, duck creates the mood and prepares the ground for a relaxing night of good food and unique ambience. Step inside and you'll come across a kind of innovative yet bizarre way of food preparation ritual where 4 or 5 chefs prepare and assemble your dishes around a big rectangle working area, between dining tables. Admittedly something i haven't seen in Western world cuisines (I could perhaps only resemble it to a Japanese teppenyaki style dining) and definitely something reassuring about the quality of food you are about to experience. I was impatient to start browsing their menu already!

Menu is quite complete, covering beef eaters to sea food lovers like us. Unfortunately didn't see many strictly vegetarian dishes apart from some entrees, which is a shame. Greeks are by no means vegetarians but would be nice to see restaurants like this broadening their variety of food in future cos definitely I'm coming back. Steaks looked good but not sure about their ageing process (didn't ask to be honest... when in Greece seafood is always my way forward). All plates we tried were very good and tasty. Nothing blew our minds so to say, but everything was fresh, balanced, full of flavour, cooked and seasoned to perfection, while all tastes kept as simple and sharp as possible.

Service was fantastic, polite and helpful and generally a restaurant culture you only see in very fine restaurants of London and New York. Keep it real guys!

The style of cooking is not as creative as in other known chefs restaurants, yet I admit it's an honest endeavour of elevating Greek and Mediterranean ingredients to new grounds and flavours. What a great potential this restaurant has got though!

Price wise: slightly pricey, but will definitely not break a hole in your wallet and surely the tastes and size of dishes will feel rewarding. Starters are €8-10, mains €15-30 with some exceptions (like lobster) on the 30-40 range. A good stuffing meal for 4 including starters and mains of lobster, prawns and fresh fish with bottle of wine took us to €40-45 per person. I reckon a bit cheaper if you opt for steaks and meat menu (fresh seafood in fine dine restaurants can be expensive).

Very good dining experience overall.

Everything in this restaurant is excellent. Service, food quality, taste, atmosphere. Taste the “kritharoto” and make sure you make a reservation in advance. one of my favorite places. Expensive for times like these in Greece , but you get what you pay for ...

Far away from the noisy city, in the middle of nowhere lays this cozy restaurant! Delicious food, satisfactory portions and beautifully presented dishes! They could use less salt though...
