This is the go-to restaurant in town that's family-friendly with homestyle cooking. Good place for breakfast and conveniently located in the heart of downtown Crestline. (The service isn't always real friendly, though). Generous portions for the money.

Looking for bland food with no taste? You would do better buying frozen food or entrees from Jensens and microwaving them at home.

This place is dirty and the service is very bad.

We were in town for 2 days & went to Billy Bear's for breakfast both days. The food was great & they are EXTREMELY generous with the portions. They were very quick with our drink/food orders and our meals were delivered to the table hot & fresh. The wait staff was great & would come around to ask if everything was OK, unlike my experience at Toni's Mexican Restaurant up the road. I would definately go there again when in Crestline and recommend it to anyone wanting a good, filling breakfast. You won't leave hungry, that's for sure!

It's quaint, clean and I've enjoyed their menu for 5+yrs... service is great if you're nice in return... simple as that.

Also, one of the few restaurants to have consistenly stayed in biz.

This place is more than terrible! Been there about 10 times, years ago it was much better before this owner took over. Talk about slow, unfriendly service mixed with a dessert menu that is VERY over priced ( ice cream or piece of pie...$6.00, may be higher by now) What a shame for a family restaurant. If you don't know any better, it seems like a good place to stop! I figure travelers stop there because of the ample parking, due to the fact that inside is empty, even at dinner time, even on weekends. For good reason! Owners act like they're doing you a favor by serving you. Not me, not worth the aggrivation or waste of time and money.
