Friendly folk and fabulous food! A little out of the way for some but worth looking for. Best on the mountain for breakfast and lunch.

If you find your way to Valley of Enchantment, which is below Crestline, you will be hard-pressed to find a more caring and friendly chef, whom will take time to visit with you personally to ensure your meal was adequate and prepared to your liking. Chef Cindy has no problem explaining the many different ways she prepares her meals, and will accommodate your taste whatever it may be. I myself believe she makes the best burgers on the mountain period. I have also never tasted a better waffle anywhere breakfast is served. There are many choices on the menu and the atmosphere is family friendly with minimal outdoor seating. Chef Cindy's is becoming more and more popular with folks that live on the mountain, and that's because she cares so much about the quality of food and the people she serves. What a great place to eat. If I was not so intent on losing weight, I would eat there everyday, maybe even twice a day!

Even though this cafe is located in a depressed part of town I would highly recommend the food. Very good food. Nothing frozen that I can detect.

One huge huge drawback is they don't open on Sundays for breakfast. I have heard A LOT of people complain about it in town and have seen posts on facebook. They are losing a lot if customers because of that. After all THAT is when people want to go to breakfast! Sunday mornings.

Chef Cindy is fantastic! She is soooo friendly and explains her dishes with such detail that you want to order everything off of the menu. As a fellow cook, I can tell how much she loves to cook and make people happy with her food. The waffles were delicious and so many choices to choose from. It's a wonderful tiny restaurant that's big on flavor. Thanks Cindy and if you're visiting Santa Maria look us up!!
