First of all, the folks in this place are friendly. The owner sent timely messages in regards to our stay. They checked us in even though we arrived very late in the night. We appreciate that so much. Thanks!
I would like to set some facts straight, though, for this posting.
When you hear one bedroom, you would think it's like a condo with one bedroom. It's not. When you enter the place, that's it - one big room, which is the bedroom.
Yep, one bathroom -- shared by nine separate units. It's communal and is detached from the units. If you need to use it during nighttime, you will need to step out of the room.
The place is not in Oslob. It's in San Jose, Bato (as we were told by locals). It's a 30-minute drive to the whale shark watching place. To get to the whale shark watching place, you will need to rent their truck (with driver) and fill it with diesel (enough to get you to where you're going). If you're lucky enough to be the only person/group renting a unit in the compound, management will let you use the truck (with driver) to go to other places for the entire day.
On the beach:
It is on the beach. But it's not the type where you imagine "walking by the seashore" thing.
I love tha place MDF relaxing and affordable. The host are very attentive to our needs. Traveling with kids is never that easy but our stay at MDF made it easy for me as a mother if 5 years old and 3. Mdf is now always on my travel plans whenever i will be in Philippines.
Very relaxing. Sitting in the hut above the sea rating and enjoying. Nice view, people are very nice and helpful.
