Nice breakfast two times. Service was poor the second time and it wasn't even busy. Pleasant environment with sculptures and musical instruments as decor. Bagel with lox was good. Generous amount of salmon, covered with lettuce - more than enough for a whole salad. For breakfast? It was good.

We enjoyed a nice breakfast on the patio at the Silver Trumpet on a Saturday morning, it was very peaceful. The staff was very attentive, maybe a bit too attentive. Our water glassed never dropped below one drink from them and this interrupted our conversation. The first cup of coffee was lukewarm, but after that it was hot and flavorful, although the cream was not refilled therefore I did not continue to drink the coffee. This was odd as our water was constantly refilled. The burrito is very large, a bit spicy not too much, but good. The food was worth the price for our experience, but the service could use some adjusting.

We choose the Silver Trumpet for dinner before a performance at the Performing Arts Center because it is walking distance (across the street), they valid your parking for the evening and they serve “wild caught” fish.

Due to a traffic accident traffic was horrible, we arrived at the Silver Trumpet 45 minutes before our performance. We explained our situation to the waiter who said he’d do his best to get us out on time. He was very accommodating and quick.

We both ordered the Caesar Salad with Salmon. To our surprise it was much better than we were expecting. It was very good.

Based upon our first experience, we are going back for dinner before our next visit to the Performing Arts Center and this time we will leave some extra time (just in case) to enjoy our dinner. I'll report back.

Based on TripAdvisor reviews, we left our hotel, Marriott Suites, and walked to what we thought was the entrance to Silver Trumpet on Avenue of the Arts, at about 11 am. It looked as if the restaurant was closed. There was no sign, but the glass doors were locked. We walked around to the side and found that it was open. The tables with the best views were outside, but only five or six were occupied because the umbrellas to shade the tables from the sun had been commandeered for a lunch party. So we sat inside, and we had high expectations for the food. My wife had smoked salmon on panini bread which was made less delicious by the crust being extra hard, but the chips that came with it were tasty. Her fresh orange juice appeared to be fresh out of the carton. My son had salmon with Spanish chorizo, which he said was very good. I had chicken and bleu cheese salad with olives and tomatoes and avocado. It was good but not special. The interior was quite nicely decorated, but we surely would have enjoyed the atmosphere more had there been more tables outside where we could view the lovely lake and waterfall. But, although the dishes were a bit different from what one would find on the average menu, none of the three dishes really hit the spot or seemed especially tasty. The service was excellent, though. The prices were hotel prices.
