Ayres Hotels are truly unique from any other hotel company I have stayed at. It is not a huge corporation that franchises their hotels; each hotel is owned an operated by Ayers Hotels. Pretty much like a mom and pop's hotel chain. Everything here is excellent and I truly have nothing to complain about. The hotel is located in nice quiet area with easy access to the freeway. The hotel and restaurant staff is excellent. The room was like staying in royalty and the bed was very comfortable. Rooms are equipped with super high speed internet access and the hotel has a great gym. There is also Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. You will not regret your stay here or any other Ayers hotel and it is nice to finally stay at a hotel that you truly don't want to leave. Have a good one, cheers!!

Stayed here for one night at the end of our trip - needed to close to Newport Beach to go out on a whale watching trip the next morning. Got there too early to check in, so left our bags and returned later that evening. We had a king-sized bed - which was so comfy - and a large room with TV, hairdryer, ice machine down the corridor, coffee maker (not really good for tea, and only 2 teabags per day), clean bathroom, free wifi, plenty of free parking. Breakfast was complimentary - toast, eggs, bacon, cereal, fruit, drinks, muffins... buffet self service. Only 10 minutes drive from the beach. The turn off to the hotel is easy to miss, as its straight after the traffic lights - we missed it the first time and had to do a detour around the block, since the road is one way that the hotel is on. There is a 7-eleven next to it, and some other shops and petrol station on the corner. There is an open seating area outside the restaurant, and a pool - which gets sun directly down on it during the main part of the day. The hotel had a look to it like an Italian building, with balconies and statues. The hotel is not modern looking, but calls itself a boutique as there is a shop in the reception area. It was a good hotel for the night, and was in a good location for that area. Not a lot around it for eating - but I think there was a Mexican restaurant up the road you could drive to. The best bit was the bed - so big and comfy. The worst bit was the low flying aircraft from the local airport.

Believe all the positive reviews you read here on this hotel in ...they all say exactly what I would say about this hotel. I stayed for 5 nights attending a high school reunion and the hotel provided attendees a group rate (very reasonable!). Room was nicely situated - very nice furnishings, very comfortable bed, it was quiet, no a/c issue for me, staff & housekeeping excellent - food in restaurant excellent for hotel food - very nice complimentary breakfast with hot foods, intimate little bar area, etc, etc. The only minor thing for me was the lighting in the bathroom. There was no over the mirror lighting and there wasn't sufficient make-up lighting...which is very important for us women! I did not give it a 100% on location only because it can be a little confusing getting to the hotel and having to do a turnabout to get out to the 55 Fwy; but that isn't the hotel's problem. So I would recommend this hotel over and over; it was also located centrally for me as I am familiar with L.A. I was able to zip around both Newport Orange Co area and also over to the South Bay LAX area with no problem as long as you are aware of peak times on fwys. Stay here, you'll like it!

It is conveniently located near Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and Laguna Beach. There is no parking fee, and the rates are quite good, even over holiday weekends (our last trip was over Labor Day weekend). The staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean. The open courtyard and open pool areas are welcoming and comfortable. We have stayed here twice and will continue to do so when we need to get away to the beach!

We were part of a bus tour group going to the Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach. We had never heard of the Ayres Hotel, but were pleasantly surprised by how wonderful it was--definitely first class. The room was beautiful and clean with plush bedding, very nice furniture, and granite countertops. The bathroom was large enough for 2 of us to maneuver around each other--another sink and dressing area was just outside the door. A complete breakfast buffet was served in the restaurant, which you could take outside into the courtyard or around the pool--plenty of seating wheverever you turned. The staff was very courteous and accomodating. We will definitely stay again at an Ayres Hotel

I stayed at the Ayres in order to attend a two-day professional workshop. The hotel was very convenient to the airport and to the location of the workshop. They provided the transportation to both the airport and office. The staff was very friendly, courteous and accommodating. The hotel is beautiful and styled on the European tradition of hotels. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the rooms were quiet. The cost was very reasonable for all that you experience: granite in the bathroom, full bath and shower, refrigerator and coffemaker, cable TV and internet connection. I cannot say enough about the elegance, comfort and and style of this hotel. It was a pleasure to stay there.

Great hotel, wonderful service, delicious breakfast, very pretty place. The customer service was friendly, helpful. Even tho the hotel is very close to the airport, it was not noisy. A few things that I loved===the fresh lemonade daily in the afternoon, warm cookies at 5 thirty each evening, the super clean lobby, rooms, everything. Breakfast was perfect, and best of all, I got a great deal on Expedia for this property. It is also very close to South Coast Plaza, what a mall! It is alslo close to beaches, Disney, and less than an hour from LA, in no traffic. Highly recommend.
