“Great find!!”
Reviewed October 2, 2012 via mobile

We recently visited Coronado for 4 days, I had read the reviews on trip advisor for claytons so I thought we should give it a try. We did go on a Sunday morning so we has to wait about 5 minutes to sit down it was well worth it!! The atmosphere is great and the food did not dissapoint, everything we had was delicious they even had sugar free maple syrup for my husband. We liked it so much we went back again during our stay. The waitresses could not have been any nicer. Each waitress wears a different apron that are so cute and retro, they of course sell them and I of course had to buy one. Do yourself a favor, do not miss Claytons!!

“Best Breakfast! Hot Chocolate Rocks!”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

If you like the corner cafe feel from a long lost era (say the 1950's), this place is all you. The food was excellent, service on the spot and priced right. Don't miss a chance to enjoy their hot chocolate - it's not the powdered stuff you find in the stores (oh I want to go back right now to get more). Plan to get here early as seating is limited, but so worth it. We will be back!

“Great "five and diner"”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

Found this from Trip Advisor, and the concierge at Hotel Del recommended it as well. A 5-minute walk from the Hotel, and we liked it so much we came back every day for breakfast. The atmosphere is of a 50's diner. We never had to wait, but we were only there during weekdays. We had 4 different waitresses in 4 days, and all were friendly and provided quick service.
Next time we're back to San Diego, we'll definitely come here.

“Excellent meal...bad service!”
Reviewed October 1, 2012 via mobile

The service is horrible! When walking in the girls totally ignored us! We waited and them decided to seat ourselves. No one ever said good morning or even hello! Besides that, the food was great and very fresh! The restaurant was clean and the retro style was fun!!!

“Great breakfast spot!”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

I decided on this restaurant after reading all the reviews and was not disappointed. I sat at the counter next to a group of Marines which was awesome. I ordered a 2-egg breakfast with pancake and enjoyed it. The wait was worth it!
