“Fees Fees Fees”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

The overall hotel experience was nice. Staff were friendly and the rooms were really nice, especially the bathroom. The amenities were great too: ping pong tables, spa, adult/child pool, tennis courts. The only issue with this hotel are the location and fees. If you need to travel to Chula Vista or Imperial Beach, then you're fine but heading back up to midway San Diego can take half an hour. So a car is a must unless you plan to stay at the hotel your entire visit.
The other issue is that there are fees for everything: $25 parking fee, environmental fees, and using the coffee cups are $1.50 in the room, using the mini fridge is a fee.

Be careful and look over your bill when you leave as well as your bank account. They charged me a mistaken extra $100 and then when I got home, an extra $10 unspecified. Their billing department doesn't work Sundays so I needed to wait the following morning and could only leave a message with the staff on the line.

I love this resort. Location is great, good views , nice rooms and I love the fact that you can bring your pets but please, please, please ...get a grip on your room service selection.
The food selection is pathetic ..I'm looking at the menu as I type this, here are the 3 entrees for dinner: grilled short rib, airline chicken breast and BBQ rubbed salmon...that's it !
In addition just 3 sandwiches, 2 salads and 3 appetizers..
After a day walking sometime I enjoy to relax, watch a movie and have room service...not here..to bad.

The Hotel is in a prime position for a relaxing holiday for family and friends. The Marina is only a short stroll from the Hotel entrance and easy access to boats moored there. There is a shuttle service to Down town Coronado with many Restaurants and Cafes to suit all palates at reasonable prices.
It is the first Dog friendly Hotel we have visited but were comfortable with their presence as they were well behaved and posed no problem. There are many facilities for all to enjoy including Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Pool Net Ball, Giant Chess by the Pool and many other games for all ages. Staff were kind and helpful and always eager to assist. It rained one morning though briefly and were given umbrellas on our way out when we went for an early morning stroll.
The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, were kept immaculately clean and the coffee machine well serviced as an early cup is always appreciated by most guests. For those who are keen listeners for the Radio Talk Radio 760 KFMB is a must as it deals with many interesting topics.
Our room was at Building 5 and though it was a 5 minuter stroll to the Foyer through a corridor under cover we found the exercise quite rewarding. The Level 3 rooms even numbers affords a great view of the Marina and the rising sun is always a welcome sight. The Hotel grounds are well laid out and there is a Gazebo in a quiet area for those who are interested in meditation. Highly recommended.

Parking fees are expensive and prices can be steep for drinks, snacks etc. for a 4 star Hotel. Wifi connection is free in the Lounge area but not in the rooms and an extra for this if required. In Room bottled water was expensive at $8 a bottle even though it was Fijian water. There was no Fridge in the Room apart from the Bar Fridge which is very expensive to use and there was a charge for one requested.

We stayed 13 nights at this Hotel and overall found it to be a most enjoyable Holiday.

Room Tip: Higher floors with even numbers are quiet and affords a view over the Marina and rising sun.

This hotel is a few miles from Downtown Coronado. It's across the highway from the beach and you can even take a shuttle from the hotel to Downtown Coronado. There are a lot of activities for families down in the pool area. Such activities include giant outdoor chess, outdoor ping-pong, and volley ball net in the kid's pool. The hotel itself is very well maintained and the rooms are very nice. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms, which include a stand up shower and separate bath tub, are spacious. The view from our balcony was beautiful. It has a 24 hour coffee shop that serves great deserts and Starbucks coffee. Overall it is a beautiful, fun hotel and I will definitely be back.

The location of this hotel is only about 5 minutes shuttle ride from the Del. It has a wonderful feeling of being far away and yet so close The hotel staff is five star plus and try so hard to make your stay a pleasant one. We stayed six nights five days and were never bored. Our room was nice. It wasn't glamorous but certainly clean and comfortable. They accept dogs but we were told that they are restricted to Blgs. 4 and 5. We did have some meals at the hotel and they were very good. We will return . There is such a tremendous sense of serenity as you are surrounded by the ocean and the sand dunes at this hotel. We had dinner at the Brigantine , Miguels and the Boat House located across the street from the Del. Worth going. Iris

At first I thought that this hotel was too far from anything. There isn't anything really out here except the hotel. I got used to it. If you have a rental car, it's typical California, you have to drive to places. The hotel has a shuttle to downtown Coronado which is very nice. The hotel itself is clean and cozy. My room was on the pool, except that my patio didn't have pool access -- the one sort of "eh" moment. The food was good. They have a 24 hour lobby cafe which was a nice touch and the bar staff rocked!

Room Tip: Take the shuttle into downtown Coronado and enjoy some of the restaurants.

I see this hotel best fitted for those with friends or family on the strand or the nearby amphib base. There are lots of fun activities on site the dont involve waves, but it is not like staying in the Coronado village. Nice rooms, comfy beds, not much to view, great pool space, delicious breakfast. Stay if you dont mind being away from the actual community.
