Been coming to Coronado for many years; we used to rent a condo but for the past few years have stayed at Glorietta Bay. Rooms are comfortable, spacious, light and clean. Staff is helpful. It's an easy walk to beaches, restaurants, bike rental shops, anything you need.
The only negative thing I'd say, and the reason I gave it 4 not 5 stars, is that the breakfast is truly mediocre. It's the same every single day and they use the absolute cheapest suppliers. The bread for toast is awful, the bagels are flavorless, the peanut butter is yucky, the fruit tastes like plastic etc. It would be so easy for them to spend just a LITTLE more to have quality ingredients, or to offer a "special" every day to make it less bland and repetitive. I will say the coffee is good, but that's about it. After a couple of days we just let it go and went out for breakfast.
But as long as you're aware of that and don't mind, it's the best place to stay on Coronado.
