We had a dinner reservation. They made us wait at the bar. Quite a while. Place was nearly empty when we went to the bar to wait. Not sure what the disconnect was, but a bit off-putting. Finally sat us, great table overlooking the water. We shared a firecracker roll (hot as blue blazes) and the wok seared bass. Bass shows up whole, sitting up rather jauntily on his plate. Felt like introductions were in order. Fun to eat (food as entertainment, what could be better?) and perfectly delicious. Waiter was a bit worried we couldn't handle the work involved to eat it but it was well worth the effort.

We hadn't been to Peohe's in 8 or 9 years after a mediocre/expensive meal and gave it a try because we heard they had a different chef who was doing great things. What a pleasant surprise! We stopped for Sunday brunch to dine outside with a view of the bay, and our server Brian (who was super) recommended a few entrees in the $14-16 range which turned out to be wonderful. I had "Truffle Kisses" which was truffle pasta, pecans, and shrimp which was amazing. My wife had the Copenhagen Benedict which was traditional eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and which was also delicious. We were served a basket of fresh rolls and mini muffins as well as a bowl of fresh fruit. Did I mention $14-16 each? Give Peohe's a try for brunch. PS, we heard they have an awesome Happy hour.

Enjoyed great appetizers! Prime rib was under down but the serving size was very generous. Pistachio ice cream pie was excellent. The restaurant did a very steady business all evening. The decor is outdated but the view is amazing!
