Visiting friends in San Diego they thought I would like to dine here. Located on the harbor it was a beautiful location. They could use more lounge space because we had to wait for a place to sit & have coctails prior to our 7:30 pm reservation. Once we did have a seat we noted that the lounge tables were rather high for the seating--it felt as if we were having food served on a table the same height as our mouths. I enjoyed a moscat sangria--very fruity & refreshing while my friends had some wine. Ordered coconut shrimp & they were yummy. We asked for & were seated at a table by the window that had some obstructive viewing but for the most part gave a nice view of the the harbor & San Diego at night with lights twinkling. Shared a spectacular 1st course of crabmeat, avocado & mango stack. Look exactly as described & was delicious. It was quite large & perfect to share among 3-4 people. I would consider ordering this as a luncheon entree if offered. Friend also had a caesar salad which was fine. All of decided upon one of the signature dishes: Halibut in a frangelico sauce with macadamia nuts & banana. Presented with a side of rice (jasmine?) also with bits of nuts & red pepper. This was superb! One of the best dishes to try. Fish was fresh & everything tasted wonderful. Ordered a bottle of 2010 Conundrum which complemented the meal nicely. Dessert was slice of ice cream pie on chocolate crust drizzled with chocolate sauce & chopped nuts. Again sharing with 3-4 people was perfect. Very good service--not rushed & able to enjoy the view & conversation. Appetizer was $14 & entrees were approx $38/ea. Somewhat pricey but I can say that in this case you get what you pay for: great view/location, many food options that are beautifully presented and tasting. I absolutely would recommend these items as the best on the menu & you will be happy.
