“hungry for italian”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

we split the the half & half, spagetti and raviolis, & had a caesar salad. we cleaned our plates, the sauce was rich & a little sweet & tangy, just the way we like. the salad dressing was very good and i believe was made there. the server was friendly, they were watching the scocer games. very reasonable, would eat here again if in the area.

“Fresh Pasta Daily!”
Reviewed June 7, 2014 via mobile

This little gem is right on the main street of Coronado. Indoor and outdoor dinning.
The pastas are freshly made every day.
They have daily specials. Very Good food on a budget.
You know it's good when the locals eat there.

“Go there everytime my parents are in town”
Reviewed February 27, 2014

Just an amazing place to eat. they have been around for years. They are next door to Village pizza so if you have a big family that doesn't like the same thing you can order from both places and sit at one table. I always get the Island pizza with the cob salad ... so good!

“Very good food and great location!”
Reviewed February 26, 2014

This little place is just a couple blocks down from Hotel Del Coronado. We visited on a Monday afternoon. I ordered the Garlic Chicken over fettuccine and it was amazing...just needed a little salt and pepper. My husband ordered the Half and Half combo...lasagna and spaghetti with sausage! I tried the lasagna and it was very good, he was pleased with his choice as well. Yummy food, nice server, great iced tea and we loved sitting outside enjoying the weather and food! Oh...don't forget the garlic bread! We would definitely go back!

“Homemade pasta in an unpretentious setting”
Reviewed February 10, 2014 via mobile

This restaurant is in a prime location - adjacent to the hotel del Coronado & about a block from the beach. It is small (3-4 tables inside & 2-3 outside).

We went there on a Saturday at about 7:30 pm. They said there would probably be a 30 minute wait for a table. We
did not wait. But we returned the next evening at
the same time & we did not have to wait. It was rather cold. So we chose to sit indoors.

The server was pleasant & helpful. She gave us helpful tips & suggested sharing options. We shared a house salad (excellent) & large homemade pasta (fettucine made fresh inhouse every day according to the menu) with 2 different sauces (Alfredo & pesto). We expected to get pasta with sauces on the side. Instead, we got a large plate of pasta with Alfredo sauce on one side & pesto on the other side. When the server saw that we looked nonplussed, she offered to redo it with sauces on the side but we decided to go with what we had. The homemade fettucine was rather heavy & clumpy. Ditto for the sauces. Very filling & inexpensive for that part of Coronado ($25 for 2 - meal & tip). We saw other diners sharing soup & pizza, or salad & pizza. We'll probably try those combos if/when we return.

When we came out, we saw
people enjoying large plates of spaghetti with red sauce, meatballs, glasses of red wine etc at the outdoor tables. The ambiance there was decidedly better than the cramped space inside.

In summary, a good place for a quick meal, relatively inexpensive meal near the beach.
