Very nice small hotel across from the Del. Not super luxurious but definitely very comfortable and reasonably priced. Great shopping & restaurants nearby - highly recommend Fabrison's creperie! Close to the beach and mass transit system which meant we didn't need a rental car at all and still were able to see almost all of San Diego and the best of Coronado.

Charming, attractive property in the best of locations on Coronado Island. Staff were friendly, courteous and efficient. On-site restaurants were fine and many, many more options for dining were well within walking distance. No parking associated with hotel but plenty of on-street spots available close by, with and without meters. Have already recommended this place to many friends, will book there again if in the area.

My husband, 18 yr. old son and I spent Christmas week in the El Cordova. It is perfectly located in the center of Coronado Island, steps to the Hotel Del and the beach. The staff was very, very friendly and helpful. Our suite had a kitchen, which was great. The free continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The also have us $4.00 coupons to use in any of the 3 restaurants on site. We have eaten probably in every restaurant in Coronado and the 3 onsite of the El Cordova are the best! The crepe cafe, the mexican restaurant and the seafood restaurant are absolutey fantastic! The rooms are spacious, beds very comfortable, it has a great history and very quaint courtyards.

The only negative things I can say are the Mexican Restaurant downstairs is very noisy (can't be helped), and there is no parking. You have to park in the adjoining neighborhoods. That is typical of most of Coronado, though.

Overall, it was a fantastic trip, great accommodations, great staff. Will definitely stay there again!

The two bedroom suite easily accommodated four adults and two children. The rooms were spacious and clean. However, the hot water in the showers were erratic in temperature and ranged from cold to very hot. The toilet in one of the bathrooms became clogged. The plumbing needs rennovation. The carpet seemed to be newly installed, although the furniture was dated. Positively, there were three HD televisions.

No parking is available on this property; you must park in the neighborhood streets.

In addition, Miguels Restaurant, in the same complex, is one of the best Mexican restaurants in which we have eaten. The food is fresh and plentiful. The flavors are excellent.

Room Tip: Choose a quiet room in the back of the complex.

Nice hotel, right in the middle of everything at Coronado Island. Our suite had a kitchen (pretty fully fit up, but now that I know what's there I can plan better). There could have been another chair or so for the living room, but otherwise just great. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi! As with all of Coronado, parking is an adventure - one night we ended up parking about 1/2 mile away to find anything. All around, good place, reasonably priced, and we'd go back.

The location of this hotel is hard to beat! It's right across from the famous Hotel Del and is located on the same main street where there are a lot of great shops and restaurants within walking distance.

The hotel staff are friendly and the rooms were cozy. My husband and I loved the little alley our room overlooked. The only thing we weren't prepared for, but makes sense, is that the only parking available was street parking. But it was easy enough to find within a 2 minute walking radius.

Great stay!

This hotel has some great charchter and is in a perfect location for a Coronado getaway. However it really could use some upgrading. Our room was spacious (suite) & had a full kitchen. But the carpet (why not use Mexican tile?) was worn, walls dingy and there was a lot of dust behind the headboard. Light fixters looked cheap. I'd be upset if I'd paid full proce for this place. (We got a Groupon Deal). Skip the cheap breakfast included. Instead take your $4 voucher and go get a buckweat crepe two doors down. PS. Miguel's next door has the delicious aroma of warm tortillas all day long and thier quesdo dip is to die for!

Room Tip: There is no heat in the living room. If you plan to sleep on the sofa bed in the suite in the winter...
