We recently spent 3 weeks in the L.A. Area. During this time, we filled our time with as many touristy things as possible. We went to several beaches from south of Laguna, to Malibu and many beaches in between. Although all the beaches were pretty, Little Corona Del Mar was by far our favorite. There is a main Corona Del Mar beach close by, but not too far south you will find it's better half; LITTLE Corona Del Mar! If you can find a place to park along the street, as we did, then parking is free! It is in a beautiful cove. Lined with pretty houses and rocks. There were tide pools to explore. The weather wasn't hot (in July), but we didn't have to wear jackets as we did at many of the other beaches. There was a nice stairway/ramp leading to the sandy beach. There were bathrooms with water to rinse off. It wasn't too crowded, and the waves were a load of fun for the kids to play in. The water was very cold, but unfortunately, that's just how the ocean temperature is on the west coast! We were taken there by a relative who has lived in the area for 30 years. She had never been there before, and after our day, she said that Little Corona Del Mar is her new favorite beach!
