Steven's is one of the only choices in the limited dining City of Commerce, south of downtown LA. The restaurant appears to survive on group celebrations and business lunches during the day, and locals dining out on the weekend. After a few visits it's clear that they have a niche, which is so-so food presented in a faux classic way, with no windows, red leather banquettes, and harried wait staff. Since it seems dark inside, it also feels a little dirty.
The food is well prepared but the quality is only a "B" level, and not a good value for what it is. Overall it's just OK, but there are better choices in the area.
