Homemade gyro and sauce. Best ever. Nice selection of unusual beer and cider. Owner and server make you feel like you are an old friend. Highly recommend.

We stopped on a cold rainy night and were immediately greeted by the owner Elan. The space is in a beautiful old brick building in Colfax with pressed ceilings and a wonderful ambiance. Food is simple Mediterranean with a large selection and efficient service. The Falafel was very good and the house made dips were memorable. Great Shwarma of lamb and beef. Very fresh. We will definitely be back as it is a wonderful option near 80 on the way to the Sierras.

This place is just plain fantastic! I've paid a lot more money trying to find a place with delicious food that made me and my family feel like we really had a total taste treat. We've driven a lot of miles for our favorite foods and been disappointed, only to find this place in our own area that came through with food that was a complete culinary delight, and the owner and servers were friendly and just as top notch. We'll be going back often!

Had a great authentic tasting falafel here. The owner bends over backwards to please . All in all , friendly and homey atmosphere. If youre a hiker she has tons of info on hikes in the area. An interesting ol' little town too. Will be back for some baklava............mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Small, family-type cafe-- very informally run. Decor could be improved, but is made up for by friendliness of owner and teenage daughter. Food very tasty, seemed authentic and fresh. Owner's speech impediment is from an illness, not substance abuse or developmental delay as some have thought. I wish more locals would support this business; I think the small mountain town of Colfax may not be the best place for an ethnic restaurant to succeed. Worth the 30 minute round-trip drive. Interesting small art gallery in the back of the cafe.
