“"Good choice"”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2014 via mobile

Wanted to try this place after it had been remodeled from previously being a Yukon Jacks,
Nice place, clean and open spaces, great service and pretty good food, will come back again.

“A Real Winner!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2014

On a last minute get away from the SF Bay Area, we ventured to Fresno/Clovis for the Casinos in the area. We decided on this place after reading the online reviews.

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE - Because we are accustomed to the many types of Asian restaurants in the larger city and a different life style, we weren't sure what to expect, but definitely were not worried by the 10-15 people waiting outside 7 pm on a Saturday night (a good sign!). Inside, there were some small groups, but many large groups, Asian or not, seating at large round tables celebrating different occasions and with many empty dishes on their tables we were a bit more relieved. What surprised us were the wide selections of dishes available on the <picture> menu, so it doesn't matter what's your preference, experience or expertize with Asian foods, there is something for you.

SERVICE AND DECOR - There are many servers making sure every large or small party have what they need, and they are friendly and kind. We don't think it's the typical small town friendliness; it's the people who want to make this a pleasant experience for their customers. One would wonder why the wall of light colored timbers for this Asian restaurant.. But be thankful for the demised of the prior establishment, a steak house.

THE FOOD - We ordered 7 items from the dim sum menu, from the exotic steamed pig intestine to the common steams pork buns, everyone single one was well prepared with distinct flavor, served piping hot (even on a super busy night!), with generous portion and nicely presented in pretty little dishes or steamer. We kept a close watch on foods served to other tables and noticed we weren't the only happy campers at this place.

RETURN VISIT - We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and in end, boxed about half and kept in our thermo travel bag drove back to the Bay area. We talked about returning.. Surely when travel N-S in CA, but for weekend getaway, we need to find at least one other attraction in the area to worth the 3-hr drive. This place opened in Dec 2013 and will be there to stay.
