“Heaven on earth!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2010

This inn must surely be one of the most beautiful places on earth! WHen we arrived and saw th view from our room (Crocker) it took our breath away, we just didnot want to leave even to go for dinner. We spent the next day by the pool and watched as deer just wandered by and peered in at us, it was truly magical! Tony and Marsha are excellent hosts, the breakfasts were always a surprise and were wonderful. We enjoyed our chats with the other guests and spent an hour on the moring we were leaving chatting with Tony and his friend (putting off the time we had to leave!) We can't wait to fo back, hopefully next year. Thank you Tony and Marsha for a wonderful visit.

We spent three days at the Old Crocker Inn. Our stay was delightful, and we highly recommend it. We stayed in the Crocker room. Tony and Marsha were gracious hosts, warm and friendly, thoughtful but non-intrusive. Tony gave us a number of suggestions for vineyards to visit and why, restaurants and scenic visits, which we were particularly interested in. His suggestions were always dead on, and he proved a great resource for planning our explorations. The room was lovely.Everything they had up on the website was true; we never had a moment when we weren't saying to each other how pleased we were we'd chosen to stay at the inn. It actually is prettier than their website pictures!

Marsha provided an excellent, imaginative and varied breakfast each of the mornings we were there. She's a superb baker, and we came home late in the evening to find her almond cake out on the guest's coffee bar in the main dining room. It was so delicious that the next night we skipped dessert at our restaurant to come back and have more of her cake.

The inn is very well maintained, and just as everyone says in other reviews, the beds are incredibly comfortable. This is due in part to the supremely comfortable sheets they use (and we have NOT ever noticed sheets until this visit). Little touches that were thoughtful were apparent everywhere. There was a bowl of chocolates and bottles of water in our room each day. There were warm comfy robes and extra large pool towels in the room for us. There was always fresh fruit, coffee or tea. They keep an open refrigerator for guests needing snacks or cold drinks whenever they want them. They had a dvd player in every room, and a really fine collection of films, and despite the fact that we're movie lovers and had seen a lot of them, there were still a number of new (to us) selections for us to choose from.

In short, we're both very seasoned travelers here and abroad and this was one of the all round best experiences we've ever had.

My husband and I spent three nights at the Old Crocker Inn. The purposse of this stay was our honeymoon! The service here is amazing! This motel is located outide of Cloverdale. It was an amazing retreat for us after getting married. The first thing they did was give us a bottle of bubbly to celebrate. The couple that runs this place is amazing. Breakfast was amazing as well! We will be back to celebrate our next anniversary! The owner also made appointments for winery tours! I can't say enough!!

Peaceful mountain retreat. Rustic but with considerable charm and all conveniences you need. Great for visit to Alexander and Dry Creek valleys. Marcia and Tony made us feel completely at home and with the excellent breakfast to start the day. Next vist to wine country we will definitely plan to stay here. It really hit home how much we liked it when we spent the next 3 days at hotel in Santa Rosa. Thanks again Tony and Marcia.

I had booked this inn (in UK we would call it an upmarket B & B) thinking it was in Sonoma so I was a bit disappointed when we saw it was 50 miles north of the actual town. The stay was part of a 10 months world trip so sometimes preparation and planning on our part are less detailed.

However the beautiful drive up the hill soon got rid of my annoyance. We saw deer, jack rabbits, quails. It was just lovely.
The owner gave us a warm welcome and showed us to the most fabulous room with a fantastic 4 poster bed with beautiful luxurious linens and cushions.

The room was so comfy, we didnt even go our for dinner but just has a snack in the room while watching TV. It was simply blissfull.

The inn is so quiet and peaceful. The only sound you hear are the woodpeckers and the male deer!

The only disappointment was breakfast. They try hard to offer something different but I believe they try too hard. We were served ginger pears and salsa burritos. All lovely but I just prefer oatmeal or pancakes.

A lovely touch is also the afternoon tea and coffee with nice cake, all free.

I really recomment this place, yes it is quite far north of Napa and Sonoma but close to the Dryk Creek Vineyards and lovely Healdsburg. Go and stay there!

We just had a wonderful trip with friends in wine country. I did not know what to expect as I left all the planning of this trip to our friends who celebated their honeymoon here. When we pulled up we were immediately greeted and shown to our rooms. Our room was cozy and beautiful...and as others have reviewed...the beds were awesome! The beds were so comfortable you did not want to leave your room. We also had a spa tub for 2 and that was an extra plus! The food was delicous and we received ourstanding service from the owners. We just loved this quiet B&B and highly recommend staying here to anyone from a single person, to a couple or group of friends. It is also in a perfect location with a great view to visit numerous vinyards in the area! You MUST Stay Here!!!!

WE stayed at the Crocker Inn for two nights and absolutely fell in love with the bedding. The sheets were so comfortable that we had to buy a set right then and there! The place is charming, quiet, and the breakfasts are just fabulous! The Inn is very affordable but about 20 - 25 minutes from Healdsburg where the action is. But if you don't mind the drive, it is definitely worth it to head up the hill to the peace and quiet. The stars each night made the drive worth it. City lights always dim the stars, but up at the Crocker Inn the stars are absolutely brilliant!
