“Loved the Old Crocker Inn”
Reviewed August 26, 2011

We stayed at the Old Crocker Inn for 2 night this July , along with our 3 young children. The location is stunning and the Inn itself is charming. Our suite was lovely and very spacious. The breakfasts were amazing, such attention to detail. Our children particularly enjoyed the pool which was a very good size and so refreshing after a long day out in the heat. Tony and Marcia were wonderful hosts. Would love to go back one day. A very special place.

Once you find it, take the time to slow down here. A stunning retreat--every day noises are replaced by gobbling turkey flocks, aggressive hummingbirds and the silent sound of butterfly wings. The grounds are lush and well kept. The structure is architecturally interesting with a long history. The beds and linens are luxurious, but you need to pull yourself out of bed so as not to miss the creatively delicious breakfast expertly prepared and presented by Marcia. Self-bottled water and BeeKind toiletries are some of the efforts made at sustainability, though I am sure there are many more that slipped by me.

Room Tip: Book in advance.

If you are tired of the hassles and throngs of Healdsburg and other Wine Country getaway locations, this is the place. And, they have a pool! Quiet, relaxing, unpretentious. Yummy breakfast.

The Old Crocker Inn is a bit off the beaten path but well worth the trip. We selected the Inn based on reviews and we were not disappointed. The cottage we stayed in was very well decorated and maintained; the bed was comfortable. The locale was very rural and quiet just as we had hoped. The breakfasts were outstanding! Tony and Marcia were very gracious hosts and provided lots of suggestions for wining and dining. If you choose to stay there be advised that it is a bit of a drive to dine; closest restaurants are Cloverdale proper or Geyserville.

After a good ten days in San Francisco, my girlfriend and I moved on to three glorious nights at the Old Crocker. After messing up the directions a bit (care of no google maps), we arrived and were greeted by the most amazing couple who runs the place.

We stayed in the detached cabin, which was perfect in every way. Seriously, I've never had a better night's sleep. The bed, the bath - everything was perfect, down to the very last detail. There were also plenty of blankets to use for a picnic on the river, and wine aplenty - including some nice carafes in the main guest lodge.

Coming home to wild deer and turkey grazing all around you, sipping a glass over a canopy of stars, taking a midnight swim in the pool, waking up to the most amazing breakfasts EVER...that's the Old Crocker in a nutshell. And after three glorious nights, we felt more relaxed than we'd ever felt before. The stress just melted away!!

Room Tip: We would highly recommend the detached cabin.

After having been so impressed with the Old Crocker Inn (or "The Ranch," as I call it, I brought my husband and another couple there. Sometimes a second visit pales in comparison to the first. Not so here! Once again, the accomodations were lovely, the food outstanding, and the attentiveness of our hosts SOOOO gracious. Can't wait to go back!

I stayed at the Old Crocker Inn over the 4th of July weekend for a friend's wedding. It's situated close to the main road that takes you to dozens of local wineries, but tucked up into the hill which felt wonderfully quaint and secluded (and provided wonderful views of the rolling hills and valley).

Each room at the Inn has a name and I HIGHLY recommend the one we stayed in (my memory is failing me) -- large, gorgeous room with a 4-post bed, fireplace, claw foot tub, back door which leads you to a deck overlooking a beautiful vista that is breathtaking at sunset. And I can't say enough about the lovely couple that owns it. Very accommodating, and we were greeted each morning to a delicious hot breakfast that we could enjoy either from the dining room or the sunny patio.

They took special care for us... turning the barn into a dance hall and setting up a bonfire at night. If you're looking for a spa, this isn't the spot for you. But if you're looking for romantic, rustic, relaxing.... book a long weekend. And there's a pool, so you can still throw on your robe and have that spa-like experience.
