“Incredible B&B”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

My friends and I spent 3 days at auberge. We cannot say enough positives about this property. The Victorian farmhouse was perfect. Reminded me of my grandmother's farm house that I spent most of my summer Sunday's as a child with my cousins.

The food was the best I have ever tasted. 3 course breakfast including desert. The blackberry torte was spectacular. Gourmet at it's best.

Roxanne was a perfect host. She is a standup comedy act, along with her incredible cooking talent.

The area was perfect as well. The town of Coverdale was very cozy with very good inexpensive dining.

Will definitely return.

The stay the four of us had at Auberge on the Vineyard was wonderful! The decor was welcoming and the vineyards outside your door provided a view that was invigorating. Roxanne was both a thoughtful and entertaining hostess and her food absolutely excellent! From the minute we checked in, we enjoyed the brownies and my husband's favorites were the macaroons! The parlor provided a comfortable setting with plenty of information to plan nearby adventures. Each breakfast meal was meticulouly planned and the combinations of gourmet courses provided a flavor explosion that was yummy and thoroughly enjoyed. She arranged for us to take a tour of Sky Pine Vinyards where the host and owner made another memorable impression! We will be back again and heartily recommend it to friends and family! Thanks again!

Room Tip: Lot of variety to choose from depending on your tastes!

The hotel is situated in beautiful gardens ,fountains everywhere and surrounded by vineyards. The rooma are huge, even the standard ones with outside patios. There are comfortable lounges with fires and magazines. The breakfast room has an outdoor area which we didn't us e as the weather was cold.
There is also an excellent well known restaurant which has views oner the vineyards and very good menus and wine lists.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience here. We stayed in the Carriage House in the Vouvray room. We had a balcony overlooking the vineyards. I must say that the bed was the most comfortable bed I ever slept in. Slept like a baby. When we checked in we were given a booklet with the many wineries around the area for free wine tastings. Roxanne is a great B&B keeper. She is funny and friendly. The breakfasts were wonderful. It was a three course breakfast. The baked goods at the end of the breakfast were yummy. We sat, for breakfast, at a communal table. It was fun talking with people from different areas of the country. Everyone was friendly and nice.
I would definitely come back here.

Auberge on the Vineyard offers a rather perfect location. Perched on a wooded hillside on the edge of a valley of vineyards, it feels relaxingly remote yet is convenient to the winery wonderland of this region. We are not winers ourselves but still found wonderful things to do in the area. After checking in to what may be the best of the rooms, Vouvray in the Carriage House, we drove in to Cloverdale. This little town now has some hip restaurants but we chose to go back in time for a regional burger at Pick's Drive In.

I'm sure the rooms in the beautiful main Victorian house are great but the large size, relaxing color palette, gorgeous antique furnishings and luxurious amenities of Vouvray were perfect for us. Glass doors lead out to a long balcony where we sat to enjoy the sunset. We watched as a family of wild turkeys nibbled their way through the vineyard to the back yard right below us.

We were fortunate to have scored a Groupon Coupon for a two-night stay and so had time to cozy in, enjoy the fresh-ground French Press coffee we made for ourselves in the large shared living room and the views through the wrap around windows before we took our day-trip to Calistoga. The drive there seemed magical as we leisurely traversed the country roads through rolling woods. Next year we may turn right and go to Coppola Winery, but we turned left to keep our appointment with the healing mud and waters of Calistoga. This is a charming town with plenty to keep a you occupied all day. Don't miss the Sharpsteen Museum for a full history of the town.

Every Spring Break we trek to Fort Bragg and traveling from Cloverdale/Auberge to the North Coast is another pleasant little drive. I'm happy we made this stop on our way up and am sure we will do it again next year. We look forward to adding Auberge to our itinerary. It was perfect!

Room Tip: Vouvray is the only room we experienced but would recommend it highly. It felt like a small apartme...

I was fortunate enough to stay in the Montrachet suite for my birthday. It was all we expected and more. Had dinner at a little Thai place followed by a lovely soak in the tub overlooking the vineyard while sipping on a great wine. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful. Thank you Roxanne for the best Gluten free breakfast I have ever had. Even if you can't find the time to get away right now do yourself a favor and check out the web site. I made several of the dishes for a brunch and they were all well received. We checked out the Big Dog winery that was recommended and even though the ride up the mountain scared the crap out of me the wine was worth it as was the tour. Still have a couple of bottles from the case we bought. Every time we break out a bottle we remember our romantic trip and the thoughtfulness of our wonderful host Roxanne. Two days were not enough, this is a great jumping off point for so many wineries. Looking forward to our next visit, just hope I don't have to wait till my next birthday.

Loved it. We did the Montrachet suite which was amazing. The 2 person tub is awesome, sheets are unbelievably soft - it's really a beautiful room. Food was amazing, people were great. We were not sorry for booking in Cloverdale - it's a bit further than some of the other B&Bs we were looking at but we found the location wonderful - idyllic view, quiet and peaceful but close to a tons of wineries and you're a 15 minute drive to Healdsburg so you can easily get in your high-end dining if that's what you're after. We thoroughly recommend this place and will stay there again next time.
