Hotel package is great value for money. Rate includes boat transportation from Margarita Island (Yaque Beach) to Coche Island round-trip and all meals-drinks and only national liquor. Food is plentiful and ok but not great. Pool and beach are great. Do not expect room TV to work. Try to take island tour with an improvised truck that includes drinks which takes about 90 minutes (it is cheap and tour guide explains a bit of recent island history). Take sun screen – no mosquitoes in island. Island Very safe.

Room Tip: All very rooms very similar. The closer to the pool the better since rooms located close to hotel property limit might be noisy.

Nice beach and resort lay-out. Spacious but simple rooms, cabaña style. Simple buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner plus national drinks, beer, and licor, in all-included formula. We had two nice days here. But could be so much better with a bit more care and attention to this resort. Clean the pool better. Deliver the rooms already with towels and toilet paper. Treat customers more nicely. Full volume pool side music all day? A bit more fantasy and choice with restaurant buffets.

Room Tip: Ask to see your room first before accepting it, so that any details are taken care of immediately or you can still change to another room.

Coche paradise is a very basic all-inclusive resort on a wonderful island.. Some rooms are much better than others; we were first given an awful room (dirty sheets, toilet leaking, Air condition not working...) and we had to fight to get another room which was much better, as it was probably refurbished recently. The garden and swimming pools area are nice and very convenient and enjoyable for children, although it is quite annoying that music is constantly playing extremely loud. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in a very poor (unclean) area, which is always crowded, and the buffet quality is very basic/poor. With small efforts and attention to details this hotel could be real paradise on a amazing beach but at the moment it is unfortunately a very basic all inclusive resort.

Room Tip: Don't go for the rooms in 800.. (last row from reception)

The hotel is located on Coche island, which makes it necessary to get there by boat from Al Yacque on Margherita. These boats are one of the shortcomings. Normally you get there in 20 minutes but when problems occur (bad weather, engine failure, etc.), it can last much longer. For rainy crossings I suggest putting on some waterproof stuff - otherwise you may be soaking wet on the other shore. Once you have reached the island you can enjoy a fantastic beach - wide, long and golden. Swimmming is very easy as there are hardly any waves. In fact, it's much more common to come across pelicans than rough sea.
The hotel itself seems to have different standards of rooms - I suggest asking for a room opened with a card rather than a key - these may be the renovated ones. First, we were put in room 8xx, which was rather unpleasant. When we asked for a change, we had to wait until the weekend finished - there are always plenty of Venezuela's citizens - and our next room was 6xx - a very good standard indeed.
If you do not have any command of Spanish, it may be hard to communicate with the staff including the reception. In two weeks I met 3 people speaking decent English.
The atmosphere is relaxed. You had better not hurry anywhere. Breakfast never starts as scheduled but while waiting you can watch 3 parrots (2 red and 1 gree) , which the hotel has.
The food is pretty good - usually a selection of chicken, fish and beef. Sometimes some local food is added.
I recommend Coche Paradise for people in search of a relaxing break.

Great little hotel in a great place. We spent 4 wonderful days here and will certainly come back.

The pool is a medium sized beautifully shaped. Around the pool you get to see toucans, macaws and other local species. From the pool you can see the beach or just walk 30 yards and get there. The beach is a little windy, which is great for windsurf (and also to keep mosqitoes away).

Food at the hotel was good, and varied
