“What a find!!”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

I was looking for somewhere I could just get away for a night and relax. I live and work in Paso Robles, just 40 minutes away inland. Wow!! I stayed in the "Fish Fantasy" room. It was small but very cozy. Clean, bright and tastefully decorated. The bed was so comfy. I had my first good nights sleep in a while. Sitting in the garden, you can hear the waves breaking on the beach and the icing on the cake, you can hear the barking seals. .I will most definitely be back!! Thank you, Rebecca and Rick. You are awesome hosts.

This is the real deal...EXACTLY as described in other comments. Everything was thoughtfully appointed, super clean, and beautiful. Rich and Rebecca have pride of ownership and it shows. Wish we would have stayed another night or two....

This is a lovely little motel in a wonderful town. The rooms are themed and very clean. The garden is charming. The only down side was no microwave in room, no continental breakfast and if we did not ask there would have been no fridge. The price for the room seemed a little steep for what we got.

My wife and I just returned from 5 nights at the Seaside Motel where we having been enjoying the quiet ambiance of Cayucos and the California Central Coast since 2001. Rick and Rebecca are the rightfully proud owners who always make us feel welcomed. We stay in the same room with a kitchenette and use the charcoal grill provided for guests in the garden patio with a view of the Pacific. If you are seeking a clean, quiet motel room with outstanding amenities and the care only on site owners can provide in a wonderful vacation spot, you cannot go wrong here.

Room Tip: Eating out on the Central Coast can be an expensive undertaking. The rooms with kitchenettes and th...

And close to all the best restaurants and the beach and pier.

Rooms are themed and beautifully done, the garden and patio area, complete with loungers and barbecues, is a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a quiet moment or a glass of wine.

The owners, Rick and Rebekah, have put years of love into their motel and it really shows: they are kind and attentive hosts, always around and available to their guests.

We had only one complaint and it is probably not a usual situation: a guest parked his large, noisy motor cycle right outside our window and started it up, the first time, around 7:15AM. He drove off around the block, then came back to load up, started it again and let it idle for several minutes before roaring off. We are not motorcycle fans and this really annoyed us, especially since there was plenty of on site parking away from the guest rooms. I would like to request that the owners insist that all vehicles, especially motor cycles be required to park away from the rooms. Some of the guest rooms have parking right outside their door and presumably will park their own cars there and one hopes that they will be considerate of other guests when departing but I would still like to see a separate parking area for motorcycles and restrictions on starting them up and idling for long periods of time right outside sleeping guests' windows.

Room Tip: We had #3 and it does not have car parking outside the room so if you want to be right out side your...

We decided to stay here after reading very positive reviews. We had a very quaint and cosy room with lots of attention to detail in the decor. Lovely gardens and obvious pride of ownership. Since there were no internet cafes available and we don't have an Iphone, etc. to use the Wifi, Rebecca kindly loaned us her laptop so we could email our family back home. Would definitely stay here again.

Thank you Rick & Rebecca! Your place is the best little get away. The Seaside Motel was clean, quiet and has a wonderful garden to sit and drink coffee in the morning or eat your picnic at night. Great access to the beach and "downtown" Cayucos. It has the feel of a 1950's motel, but updated with modern conveniences. Loved it and can't wait to return!!!
