Before you stay here, make sure you know that this place is known for its naughty fun in the public areas. Not for its luxurious accommodations. I've stayed here twice and had a lot of fun both times. But I have to caution you that the rooms are, how should I say it, substandard? The furnishings in both rooms I stayed in were well worn, and the housekeeping was not exactly fastidious. The front desk employees were at best disinterested. The breakfast was fair to poor. But I have to repeat, that's not why most guys stay here. It's for the "fun" outdoor activities. If you can't deal with the rooms, you can always stay somewhere nice, and then visit CCBC on a day pass.

I worked the FD here for about 4mths and I will say that the ONLY reason to STAY in the hotel is during one of the events.
Other than that just get a day pass, and browse around.
The weekends usually have an assortment, but weekdays it is really only seniors who can take a day off in the middle of the week.

The breakfast, is bought from Costco every other week so THAT is not a problem (avoid the hot dogs since those ARE bought out the next week- pre-boiled from the previous week)

As for the person who complained about people being nude all the time?... IT'S a NUDIST RESORT, what the heck do you expect??

As for the staff, when you see a happy face on a desk clerk be thankful, since it is minimum wage,no health, no nothing (when $6 to 6.25, there was so much complaining from the owner managers)

While the rooms may be run down, behind the desk is even worse.

Anyways, DAY PASS ONLY

My lover and I stayed here for two nights to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We are both in our early 40s. This property was not our first choice, but the places we wanted were all booked. Overall, not a bad experience. The plusses: huge property, great, friendly staff, no attitude whatsover. The resort is very close to The Barracks and a short drive to downtown Palm Springs. There is plenty of free parking. The minuses: the room was large but a bit tacky. The furniture was cheap 80's, and the carpet was dirty and threadbare. The bathtub faucet broke off when we tried to use the shower (although the staff took care of it right away), and then the next day the sink faucet came off as well. The king size bed was a bit hard, but the sheets and towels were clean. The guests tend to be mostly over the age of 50, and if the sight of older, heavier men walking around naked offends you, stay away. The property allows day guests, and we noticed some hustler action around the pool area. We also had guests trying to peek into room through the window looking for hookups. If you are looking for action and like older men, this is the place for you. There is a wooded trail, a dungeon, suana and a video room. Those looking for a quiet, romantic place with a younger crowd and first class amenities, you will probably want to look into something else. Overall not a bad experience - a bit on the seamy side but the location, friendly staff, price and lack of pretension made it OK. Not nearly as awful as some of the other reviews would lead you to believe, but the resort could use a facelift.

I enjoy CCBC. I love the spaciousness; as a gay nude destination for most, it's nice to have the freedom to roam and not be sequestered at a smaller hotel stuck with little or questionable activity. CCBC attracts the gamut, and there's someone for every likes and tastes.

I always go to CCBC as my first choice when visiting, and have done so for years. Greg at the front desk is simply AMAZING, and the longer-term staff members are also friendly and accommodating...each visit I felt like a kid in a candy store, always leaving for home with a smile on my face, and a mind-blowing experience or three from my stay...

But as of late, the place feels different, like it's losing its notorious sexual temps and friskiness factor. Personally, I feel the competition has stepped up the pace, and CCBC hasn't kept pace to woo them back. My past few stays have left me underwhelmed -- from dirty carpets, worn furniture and bathroom facilities in rooms, to something so in-your-face obvious: the gay TV channels on the TV!

To be the largest gay resort in the desert, and known world-wide as a "sexual playground" , WHY do their 4 channels of gay flicks (now down to 3 due to someon's idea that visitors want to watch a mainstream DVD movie instead?!) consist of the cheapie 5-hour compilations and old, 80's porn?? I've been at CCBC when it's rained, and when its been freezing cold. Consider your surroundings, and check out the flicks on TV to be stuck with that junk, at a place of this caliber?? It's simply LAZINESS.

If anything, CCBC could shine, by showing the hottest, nastiest RECENT porn - and on all FOUR channels as advertised - that would help get the clientele hot and bothered and ready to play. Seems petty, but for a place thats to ooze sex, it's a complete necessity!
