Had to try it out after hearing all the raves.
Overall, a bit disappointed.
A cheerful greeting with water and menus was followed by an absence of someone to take our orders, but we were patient. After ordering, another long wait for the food to arrive. We did notice others around us, who ordered after we did, getting and eating their food while we again waited patiently.
The verdict: Don't order Huevos Rancheros here. A bland cool-ish salsa topped the eggs, refried beans and tortilla, served with a choice of hash browns, fried potatoes, or more refried beans, and a dollop of sour cream on the side of the plate. Very ordinary and not very hot.
Hash and eggs were a little better, but its not easy to mess up frying up a couple of eggs.
All in all, too much seemed like it came out of a bottle or can (not what you'd expect if you're paying premium prices for, and yes, everything was a bit pricey).
For a hole-in-the-wall "diner" burgers shouldn't be close to ten dollars.
We won't be back. There are plenty of diners in the desert serving up better, warmer food at a more reasonable price.
