The hotel itself is beautiful and the best part is the beach is right out back! There was always a sun lounger available on the beach and they were well maintained by staff. The evening bartenders were GREAT! They made our stay a lot of fun and we always looked forward to happy hour. The pool area is beautiful and relaxing. We didn't opt for full board as we like to go out but the breakfast spread was excellent- something for everyone.

The few frustrating items: the wifi did not work at all in our room and was very spotty throughout the hotel. With that being the only way to use our phones to communicate with family, this was extremely frustrating. Another piece was the cleanliness of the room. We pulled back the sheets on our last day on accident to discover a bed cover that not only was covered in body hair (actually COVERED) but also in body fluids. I was so glad we were leaving that day because I was BEYOND disgusted by this.

While the bed cover incident certainly distracted from the wonderful hotel, I would consider staying here again, I would just check the bed first!

Beautiful beach and swimming pool, which you can enjoy the whole day there.
The staff there are very kind and helpful.
If you go and check and reception, you can find day trips which organised by travel company and will pick you up from hotel in the morning, including going out for musuem, and little islands, the price is good.

Room tip: WIFI signal is bad in the room. You can find wifi in lobby and swiming pool area but still the signal is not good.

We visited for 10 days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cleanliness was 10/10 cannot fault the hard working maids for constantly cleaning. (Even cleaning the lift whilst I was using it lol!) They will clean your room and bring fresh towels everyday if you don't leave the do not disturb sign on your door. There was air con in the bedrooms and had 3 settings which was a life saver as it was 30 degrees everyday! The rooms could be seen as a little dated but perfectly fine for us, the bathroom was simple yet functional for us.
The food was generally a great choice always plenty of salads and theme nights of hot foods. The restaurant and bar staff were so friendly and hard working we saw the same staff everyday throughout our stay and they always had smiles on their faces and nothing was too much trouble. Free beach towels were available if needed. The cocktail maker at the bar (can't remember his name) was our favourite and he had his work cut out between 6pm and 7pm when happy hour kicked in 50% off alcoholic drinks! The pool area was lovely and always spotless and plenty of sun loungers available generally, although they do all get taken by around 9am. The beach was also excellent and lovely being so close to everything, great sand with no rocks. We did try and go for a few walks around the hotel area and found that the surrounding area was derelict and looked abandoned which was a shame compared to the good quality of the hotel grounds. There were a few local mini shops within walking distance but that was about it. We did get a taxi one day into the centre of Heraklion to visit the archaeological museum which was good. The spa ladies were a little pushy and did push sales whilst you were sat around the pool and coming down for tea which was a bit off putting. They give you a voucher for 15 mins free treatment in the spa but they get you then to spend more money on other treatments as well so felt a bit of a catch. Overall I would 100% recommend this hotel and would love to go back.

We visited this beach nearly every day. Clean safe and relaxing. The beach boy became like an old friend. Welcoming us each day and ensuring that all the facilities on the beach were spotless. The beach resteraunt was great too. Serving fresh and tasty salads. Fabulous coffee too.

We went to Mirachoro in 2015.. It was a great experience. The hotel is very close to the airport which has its positive and negative sides. The positive side is that you're close to the center of the island and you can pretty much drive up to any place (if you like trips) the downside is that you're close to a city and there's not much to do in the village you're in. (It's basically a long road) So you will NEED a car if you want to go out somewhere, if you just want a beach vacation this is perfect though. You can see the planes pass by while sunbathing. Big amount of sunbeds on the beach. A beachbar etc...

Every day they are hosting animation events, my personal favorite was "waterpolo" it was fun and a good distraction from the long sunbathing hours.

The hotel itself was clean and tidy, it has free wifi and a decent restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The drinks at the bar (that are included in AI) are not that good, they are cheap and you can taste it. Though if you pay extra you get the real deal, which is a lot of better ofcourse. The snacks during the day consist of cake, fruit, etc.. Which is good as well.

Overall the hotel is very nice, it had quite some russian visitors while we were there though. They were not a disturbance to us, not at all.. Though we have heard in previous hotels that some people often disliked russian visitors.. But this was absolutely not the case for us. The only thing that disturbed us a bit about the hotel was the SPA service.. The girls of the SPA were kinda pushy and kept trying eventhough we've declined the offer multiple times. I guess it were quiet days and they needed to get some revenue in but still.. they shouldn't have pushed so hard.

Advice: If you're looking for a hotel in this area, TAKE this one. Especially with kids, they got good animation and you can plan your trips easily from this position. A bus stops a couple of meters further on the street but a car gives a lot more freedom. There's a car rental right across the street with a lovely and very nice/friendly girl that will help you plan your route and advice you very well.

Thanks for reading my review :-)

Room tip: Room with seaview is the best !
