When I pulled in, I thought it was a mistake, A pretty nondescript strip mall, and yet...EVERY single thing looked/sounded delicious. Edamame wontons? Papitas w special spices? Korean tacos? Fish tacos? Even the hand cut sweet potato fries with the hint of cinnamon and maple made appetizers work. for all.
But more importantly were the genuine entree-sized bowls served over. ancient grains/white rice/or raw greens, the burritos, the wraps and the salads... Like California itself, Chinollo defines fusion. The sandwiches alone demonstrate a multi-cultural reach: Pork Belly Banh Mi, several grass fed burger, a Mojo Cubano, a chicken sandwich AND a meat free burger all thoughtfully dressed.
And the bowls -- they range from Thai-inflected to Indian, South American to farm veggies. One friend had the poke bowl (and loved it), another went with the Korean steak (and was thrilled).
To touch so many cuisines and do it with adventure and still maintain a modicum of authenticity could be Chinollo's greatest gift. Although doing it at a reasonable price point, while maintaining such incredible quality is why they may be the best kept secret in San Pedro!

For lingerers, there are fruit teas, cold brews coffees, smoothies, juices, boba teas, crafted fruit sodas and all shaken iced teas.

Attending a game at Dignity Health Sports Park (AKA Stub Hub) and wanted to eat something other than stadium food, so I went here for a pre-game meal. This place is right across the street from the main enterance. Tried the El California burrito with steak along with a house made ginger ale and was not disappointed. You can use an iPad like device to place your order. If you are eating-in and ordering electronically, be sure and get a wooden numbered block by the cash register, so you can enter your number assignment into the order. The order came really quickly considering there were numerous others that had the idea for a pre-game meal. I would definitely recommend this over the standard stadium food.

We tried the Peruvian Saltado ($10.50) w/steak (+ $1.00), 1/2 garlic noodles & 1/2 white rice & Huacatay sauce. It was delicious! Very similar to Lomo Saltado!
Drink: Pomegranate-Orange fruit tea (24 oz = $5.00)
We also had the Korean Tacos ($7.00) w/grilled chicken, kimchi, gochujang sauce, chipotle crema & cotija cheese. Very tasty! Drink: Green match tea boba ($4.95).
Sub-total: $27.45 + $2.61 = $30.06 Total.
Go early, it fills up really quick.
The food was delicious, the presentation of the dishes was beautiful, the service was great. You can have iced water (free), they also have plenty of vegetarian dishes.

This is my new favorite lunch spot in Carson! The menu is sure to please carnivores and vegetarians alike! (or those just looking for some delicious, healthier alternatives) They have everything from grass-fed burgers to tofu. I tried the California burrito which was delicious (and so was the seasoning on the tortilla chips). The food that my co-workers ordered looked great as well, and they also had nothing but good things to say. They also have an extensive drink menu which includes boba. I think the pricing is good for the type of food they serve. My only issue is that their credit card machine was down the day I went so 1. we weren't able to use the iPad order/pay feature and 2. had to scrape together enough cash to stay to eat. Can't wait to go back and try something else!

This place is right behind the KFC across from the college. Healthy food with some vegetarian items on the menu. Fast service, take out or eat in. A real gem of a place that we were so surprised to find.
