“Old School Fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2012

I love this place... and have for years. It has an awesome salad bar, and I like being able to cook my own meat... makes for a fun time! It's nice that they have entrees they will prepare for you if you are not in the mood to cook your own. It's a great value, as well

“Good place for a steak”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2012

We have been going here for years and have always had good food and the best part is you get to cook your steak yourself, just the way you like it. You can also get your steaks cooked for you if you wish. They also have other things on the menu besides steak. Their chicken and shrimp are also good. It has a local atmosphere and everyone seems friendly with good service. Great place for a good steak.

“fine but why go out if you have to cook?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2012

The atmosphere is casual. The server was nice. But if you want to cook your own food, stay home. Its cheaper.
We went out for a family meal with my kids and my parents. At this restaurant, you grill your own steak, fish, lamb or chicken. The restaurant has a buffet for salad, bread, beans.
My kids arent able old enough to grill, and my parents wanted to enjoy/visit during dinner. My husband ended up standing at the grill for a good portion of our meal to cook everyone's meat. We expected the Palms would have Cooks at the grill to monitor your meat and let you go back to your table and relax. But nope. You have to juggle for space on the grill with other patrons, and then stand there to flip, turn, test for doneness. It's not like Benihanas where you cook at your table so you can still sit and visit. The food was not cheap; not overpriced for a restaurant, but overpriced for making your own dinner.

“bartenders?? more like patrons”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2012

Don't go on a night when there's a live band. Behind the bar sits dirty dishes, on the bar empty drinks and irritated customers, yet one bartender has time to step out for a cigarette while the other is talking to a friend and listening to the band. On nights when there isn't a band service is still slow and the bartenders only socialize with the locals.

“Bad Night time bar service”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2012

The Bartenders are awful, we have a big group of campers that stay at the beach every month and dance at The Palms. The big blond bartender is always a complete jerk to everyone in our party, We all hate the poor treatment that we get from him everytime we go.
