“Highly Delicious and Filling”
Reviewed August 10, 2011

First, they gave me the sandwich with pulled pork, ham, cheese, and a pickle.
Then they gave me an assortment of different BBQ sauces (meat is cooked plain).
Then I feasted.

The whole family was satisfied and happy for hours to come.

I would consider driving all the way back to this place from IV on occasion.

“WORST EXPERIENCE EVER”
Reviewed August 8, 2011

ok guys so I'm a little confused as to all the great reviews this place got....

We arrived and walked in the door after standing beside the waiter for at least 5 mins he grunted at us and told us to sit outside from here on out it only got worse

We didn't receive menus for at least 15 mins, no drink order taken. 3 waiters running around wit the place only half full if even that. 40 mins into sitting down we were given our pitcher of beer ... No glasses another 10 min wait for that. Both tables on either side of us were having severe problems also so much so one little old lady asked me how to set up a yelp account to complain. There was no manager on duty

Our food came out finally and we were STARVING. For 27$ I got a sliver of salmon and a few burnt vegetables and plain crappy rice with no flavor. My boyf got the ribs that had obv been reheated they were cold in the middle. When I finally flagged down my server and told him my veg were uneatable and I was sorry to ask for new ones. He grunted again came back out 10 minutes later and literarily dropped them down in front of me..I being a waitress and bar tender couldn't believe the lack of customer relations here I was appalled.

The food was GROSS and we left hungry after paying $75 for nothing only crap. Both tables either sides of us left leaving no tip and most of the food on their plates

WAY OVER PRICED AND TO BE HONEST JUST TERRIBLE. Save your self the heartache and just go somewhere else

“Best Barbecue in Santa Barbara County !!”
Reviewed August 3, 2011

Following many trips driving past the legendary 'Santa Claus Lane' off the 101 Frwy. , this Summer, I decided to stop off at Rincon Beach - which runs right along the lane. As I was walking past the many shops to the sand, I came upon the 'Barbeque Company's' charming patio. Really GOOD barbecue, is difficult to find so I was skeptical at 1st about taking a chance. I walked in, scanned the menu and had a 'good feeling. Good call! I have been back 3 times in the last 3 weeks! This unassuming little resturaunt, serves up some of the best barbecue to be found anywheres Norht or South, of Santa Barbara. I ordered the '1/2 BBQ Chicken' Dinner w/ 2 sides. A tray of 'killer' BBQ sauces are brought to your table - from (house) sweet & mild, all the way to blow-your eardrums-out, hot! Five in all, to select from - and it's nice to interchange flavors as you go along thru your meal! Their sides are like none I have ever come across any wheres; home-style, they stand apart from all those 'generic' offerings you'll see featured in most BBQ joints. For instance, the 'mashed yams' come garnished w/ a 'secret family recipe' I am told, of brown sugar and something else really good, crumbles. The corn bread squares, are the size of brick-bats! The baked beans are heartier and seasoned w/ pork-tails. And the home-made mac & cheese....and on and on, the list continues! HUGE portions on everything - I've had something left over each visit. The atmosphere is Calif.-casual w/ table seating both inside, and outside on the cozy brick patio. The wait-staff are supremely courteous and eager to make sure their customers leave happy. Barbecue Co. sets back off the road in the middle - between Summerland and Carpenteria, so you have to keep a sharp eye peeled from the Hgwy. Take the 'Santa Claus Lane' Exit and you're there - in Barbecue heaven!! Lunch hours cut off at 2:00 and they re-open for Dinner at 5:00 When you're in the mood for GOOD barbecue, the drive up (or down) the coast is worth the trip.

“Awesome barbecue between Santa Barbara and Ventura!”
Reviewed July 29, 2011

We were looking for a place to have a hefty lunch after wine tasting, and barbecue was perfect. I had the burnt ends sandwich with creamy cheddar corn, my husband had the pulled pork with burnt end baked beans, and baby had Mac and cheese with garlic toast. The food rivaled any other BBQ I've had -- lots of sauce choices, lots of food, and the waiters were fast on drink refills. They had Neil Diamond and Roy Orbison concerts playing on a few flat screens, but at a reasonable volume so it never cut into our conversation.

“TRULY the BEST BBQ You'll Ever Have!!”
Reviewed July 20, 2011

WOW!! I haven't been overly impressed with many restaurants but this one is truly incredible - my mouth waters just remembering how good this food was! We visited The BBQ Co 6 times during our two week stay and were never disappointed! The outdoor dining area is adorable with lots of gorgeous greenery. The waiters are friendly and helpful but the food is amazing! The tri-tip is smoked to perfection, tender and juicy with tons of flavor. The beef ribs were huge, meaty and delicious! The babyback ribs, equally as good! The side dishes we tried were wonderful! I hate when I have to recut my salad at most restaurants because the pieces of lettuce are too big - NOT the case here! Salad is cut perfectly and mixed with dressing making it one of the best I've ever had! Cornbread, potato salad, garlic bread, cole slaw, mac and cheese and sweet potato fries are very tasty but the BBQ sauces are delicious!! If you love hot food, ask for the Volcanic sauce - you wont regret it!!
