We stumbled on this cafe/bistro style restaurant for lunch when driving through the Carmel Valley for a visit to Cowgirl Winery. It is worth every one of the 24/30 Zagat rating it has received. Eating outdoors, the service was excellent with knowledgeable, pleasant staff. The roasted artichokes are in season and deliciously served with roasted peppers, capers, carmelized onions, and a wonderful aioli. Sharing a pizza, we could not resist eating the whole thing, even after sharing a beet salad (another great choice). Sensibly priced, local wines topped it off. A memorable meal. I advise you to arrive early for lunch as the place fills by noon.
