“A great find!”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

Happily we noticed this lovely restaurant on a walk one afternoon around town and came back later that evening for dinner. The food and ambience were just wonderful and we considered this one of our most enjoyable meals and experiences on our trip .

“Very nice”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

We were traveling through Carmel, staying only one night and, thanks to other Tripadvisor reviews, decided on this place. True to it's name, the atmosphere was that of a corner bistro in paris - very nice. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. We sat near the wood-fired oven and the chefs including the head chef (possibly owner) were friendly as well. The food, while showing french influence, was not limited and very good. We had the butternut squash pizza and the osso bucco. Both were outstanding.

“NO NO NO”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

Ok my sister and I went here because it was one of 3 recommended by our hotel..
from the get go we should have just gotten up and left.
WHERE in California can you ONLY get ONE selection of Wine per wine type..Really!!??
Ok so we get beyond that and have water..
we ordered a Fresh Mozzarella, Fresh Tomato and Basil Pizza...
I dont know what the sauce was but i could hardly find the cheese and i really didnt see any fresh tomato and a few pieces of Basil...I did mention this was in Carmel California didnt I??
Very Disappointing and even though the manager tried to find me a wine selection that was suitable it was an impossible task because there is no inventory
Then the food was not that great either..
Too bad a very cute place..could go far if they rethought their menu and wine list...

“Food Was Fine, Service Was Terrible”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

Had a reservation for 8:30 p.m. on Friday night. It was busy so we weren't seated until 8:45, which happens and we weren't upset. After ordering our appetizers, they arrived within 15 minutes. And then the wait began for our entrees. We were sitting right next to the pizza area so I saw about 20 of the kind of pizza I ordered come and go. After over an hour, we asked where our entrees were. The waitress looked confused, she didn't write down our orders when she first took them, and then quickly left a large portion of soup on the table. Then another waitress or manager approached and asked how everything was. I told her we'd been waiting for a long time and she said, "I know, drinks and dessert are on the house." I overheard her say the same thing to the table behind us. It was nice that they realized the mistake but by this point it was around 10:30 p.m. and we were tired. Overall, the food here is tasty, but the bad service killed our experience.
