First of all, if you are planning a trip to Carmel you must realize that hotels are expensive in the area. If you are on a smaller budget (or, like my group, want to save your $$ for food and wine), this spot is a wonderful option. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. Is the furniture that of your typical chain hotel? No, and that's part of the charm. It's sort of like visiting grandma in that regard, and I mean this in the best possible way. We had a 2 bedroom suite for 5 of us. The rooms were HUGE, had a dutch door and we could walk to everything. There was a light breakfast provided (pastries and coffee), and each morning one of us would go and bring a tray loaded for the rest of the group. Our room also had a small fridge, which was a great way to bring wine/cheese back to the room so we could enjoy it. In addition, the owners and staff were super sweet and very helpful. This hotel was perfect for our girls trip and I would not hesitate to stay there again!
