We were in Carmel on a rainy Saturday and popped into the Grill for lunch. It was not crowded, so our party of 5 was seated immediately, our server came to inquire about drinks and brought baskets of warm bread as well. I had the Chipotle chicken sandwich was was tasty and served on warm focaccia, though it was not really spicy like you would think a chipotle sandwich would be. Hubby had a bacon burger which was large and moist, without making the bun soggy. One daughter had the chicken quesadilla and said it was quite good but she would have preferred fewer peppers, personally. It was served with an ample amount of pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole. Another daughter split the bacon burger and a house salad with her hubby and their salad was brought out with two extra plates as was their bacon burger.
The decor is very nice, there is a rock fireplace near the front of the restaurant. The wait staff were friendly and attentive, our drinks were always replenished without having to ask (a pet peeve of my hubby-having to ask for another glass of soda). The prices are a little higher than you would pay at some places, $75 for 5 of us including drinks and tax, but not bad at all for Carmel. We would certainly consider eating there again when we are in Carmel.
