“Crepe` menu is Great - From start to Desserts”
Reviewed December 25, 2013

The Cottage has been in Carmel for some time now and have some excellent crepe` selections from their previously owned Left Bank Cafe`.
This day we went in espcifically to have their Vegitarian lasagna, unfortunately, they only cook this dish on selected days.... it just may be the best in all Carmel. The Cottage Ceasar salad was wonderful. We could hardly finish the Hot fudge ice cream dessert crepe`. All excellent.

“Quaint place with very good food and service”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

We had breakfast at The Cottage yesterday. It was good food, and the servers are very attentive too. I had eggs Benedict and hash browns for $12. Portion size and quality were both good. It is small and pretty quiet which is nice in the morning IMO.

“Charming and Quaint”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

We dined here after our hotel desk clerk recommended the place. We weren't disappointed. Our first impression was of a charming, small, unique interior with the main dining area pretty crowded. However, we found a corner nook that was private and ideal for us.

The service was perfect and the manager/owner was very friendly. We were there for lunch and found the portions to be large and the food delicious.

This was our first day in Carmel and we would have returned the next day but our schedule didn't allow it. They close at 3 pm as do other breakfast/lunch only establishments.

“Good Breakfast place”
Reviewed November 16, 2013 via mobile

Enjoyed our breakfast here before heading out for a fun day. I had the Eggs Benedict with avocado and turkey. I liked that I could get one egg instead of two. I substituted fruit for the potatoes at no extra charge. My husband had the oatmeal with bananas and strawberries. The place was cute and service was friendly. My only ding is that they did not accept America Express.

“Hearty Breakfast to start the Day (or for lunch)”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Always a great place for breakfast food, even at lunchtime. Good selection of omelet fillings from which to choose. Also a variety of Eggs Benedict offerings from ham, turkey, crab or lox...
If you're not into breakfast, the menu includes sandwiches, salads, burgers and pizza. The chili is very good (not too spicy) and served in something that resembles a large clay flower pot, with a big slice of fresh corn bread. . Something a bit different, and very good, is the artichoke soup. We always make sure to have at least one lunch at the Cottage when we visit Carmel. I usually get a breakfast and my wife usually gets the chili. I believe they have dessert offerings, but we've always been too full to try anything.
