Great views...great food...really fair prices. Highly recommended! Get there early for no wait and a seat on the rail of the deck...watch the sheep graze/play.

“Gorgeous views & great food!”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

A friend insisted that we go there, and I am so glad! Great selection of wines and appetizers paired with a breath taking view. This place is always crowded, so try for a reservation. Definitely a repeat!

“Enjoy Sunset in Carmel”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. There was a nice neighborhood feel to the place. The food and service were excellent. The pianist was incredible and we had a nice view of the sunset during dinner. We were told that the owner, Clint Eastwood, may drop by some evenings. Unfortunately, he was out of town on a directing job when we were there.

“1ST class Food and Fun”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

This was a last minute decision for us, but I am so glad we ended up there. I only wish I had seen the view during the day for lunch because I hear it is amazing.
They do not take reservations and are very busy. We waited about 30 mins. The place is small so we stood by a door near kitchen. Not great but ended meeting some interesting poeple and after our meal, we closed down the place while listening to some amazing locals sing at the piano bar.

“Whale watching from the terrace - world class experience all round.”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

A class act.Loved this place from the minute we sat down on a sunny, warm October evening with sheep grazing in the pasture and humpbacks breaching offshore. It's smart and beautifully set out.You can't book and have to wait for a table, especially an outdoor one at peak times, but it was no hardship having a drink on the terrace while we waited to be called on their system.Menu looked interesting with good value/snack type items as well as pricier options,so you don't need to make it an expensive night out.We had decided on a sort of 'go for broke' as it was our last night in lovely Carmel.
Starter of artichoke was first class - we don't get it served this way in our country and I wish we did.Beautiful.
The lobster tail/fillet combination was superb.Huge tail and a nice bit of steak, though perhaps not as tasty as I'd hoped. But tender and cooked as ordered. My husband ordered fillet too, though despite ordering it rare, it arrived more well done than that, a pity, but still nice.Gratin potatoes and good veg with it.
Wine was excellent - as most of it was throughout our stay in California.Very impressed with their white wines, especially buttery, rich Chardonnays.Great colour. We definitely get exported the poor stuff in the UK, as I'd never go for a Californian wine at home.Quite right that they keep it for themselves!
The place was going like a fair on a Friday evening, a great ambience.Heaters came out later on when the sun went down but what a great place to celebrate the start of the weekend.
Clint, you've done a great job on this place. There must be very few places in the world where you can sip your drinks and eat great food, as humpback whales blow and feed half a mile away off the local beach.
