We chose this restaurant for our 58th wedding anniversary dinner with another couple. We were very pleased! Right inside the front door is a little area with comfortable seating and a view through the newly renovated restaurant (beautifully done) into the courtyard beyond the wall of windows on the far side of the dining room.
We chose to have the special 3-course dinner which features some of their well-known preparations. The first course, prepared table-side, was a Caesar Salad - delicious! The main course, rack of lamb, was brought to the table uncarved on a platter alongside an array of colorful vegetables for our inspection before it was served. The lamb was perfect - tender and cooked exactly as ordered. The vegetables were not quite there - underdone and not well seasoned. (I don't like mushy vegetables, but they need to be really al dente and not hard.)
Our choice among the flaming desserts offered for the third course was Cherries Jubilee. This may be an old-fashioned dessert, but it was very good, so who cares! It was very enjoyable watching this being made, again table-side. Somehow, watching the preparation of the food made the dining experience seem relaxing and unhurried.
Our table looked out on the courtyard, and the woman who waited on us was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Prices are on the high end, but this restaurant delivers a very good dining experience, and I would definitely return.
