We stopped in for oysters and a glass of wine. We had a late breakfast and were planning an early dinner elsewhere, but needed something. We were surprised at how small the place was compared to their Charlotte location, but it was quaint.

The oysters were very good (blue points) but not as large as ones we had earlier in the week at Flaherty's, so we ended up ordering another half dozen. Their cocktail sauce was interesting too. Wine choices were very good. The waitress was very nice and did a great job. Other people were ordering full meals and they looked great.

Our only complaint was that they put bacon in both their white and red calm chowders!!! Why do that to either? But seriously, in the red chowder?

Loved this place, we were in Carmel for the say a part of our West Coast tour. We had been wandering about looking at the shops when we walked pat this place and the buzz was tangible. Place was packed to the rafters so we thought it had to be good. We were greeted with great big smiles and given a seat near the window. We both ordered the fish and chips which was DELICIOUS, this is from a Northerner so I know my fish and chips! We washed it down with a few perfectly balanced cocktails and soaked up the atmosphere. All in all a great little gem. It's not the cheapest place, bill came in at $70 for two of us but we felt it was worth it. Recommend!

Smallish space in a convivial atmosphere. I'm sensitive to loud spaces and this place was not too loud for me, but still retained a festive atmosphere. A place in a tourist-centric town on the main street that has the feel of a restaurant frequented by locals. Bonus: hooks on the tables and on the wall next to the table for packages and purses. ALL restaurants should be doing this!

Excellent Bloody Mary. Rank among the best we've every had.

The food: Prawn cocktail was very good, prawns cooked perfectly. New England clam chowder was very good, with a minor sin...celery. I don't think celery brings anything to the game, but there was so little of it that it didn't have much impact. Crab cake appetizer was very good...cooked very flat and wide. Fish taco's had grilled fish with cabbage, very good.

Bill for two including food, drinks, and tip: $70.00, Food only, $40.00.

We would return in a heartbeat.

Wanted a late lunch after hiking all day. My husband wanted fish and a local fireman recommended this place. Fortunately we only had to wait about a half hour, but had to sit at the bar. This was a holiday weekend so the place was packed and noisy. The bartender was pleasant and efficient. My husband ordered the fried fish platter and I got the burger and fries. Fried fish was not greasy and didn't fail expectations. How can you go wrong with a burger? Modestly priced and very popular. We each had a glass of wine as well. No need to linger. Nothing spectacular.

After travels from Napa we ended up in this nice bar. We intended to only take a drink but after having seen all nice snacks we decided to also order oysters and calamari. The food was freshly prepared and it combined perfectly with the wine. Also the staff was very relaxed and professional

Note: The day after we came in for coffee and learned they there was no espresso machine so I got a very flat coffee.

Conclusion; go for drinks, snack and dinner but find another place for coffee
