While staying in Airbnb, visited Casanova for dinner. Right in downtown Carmel, had a great vibe and was full at 6:00 pm when we got there for our dinner reservation.

We brought our own wine but browsed the extensive wine list, lots of great wines, pretty steep price markup however.

Food was fabulous, braised short rib cannaloni is a must to try. Lamb chops were perfectly prepared. Salads were fresh and tasty with the house dressing.

It was our waiters first night serving tables was nervous and lacked the polish I enjoy when eating out.

If you are in Carmel, this is a must for dinner.

Very good food. We had the delicious oysters with a strawberry minunette. We then split a Sea Bass main which was locally caught and delicious. While the wine list is a little intimidating the sommelier was helpful in helping us select a dry prosecco. The restaurant is not cheap but if you split I think you'll be full (especially if you're over 60 like us) and that will bring you in under budget✅.

Restaurant seats over 250 patrons and has a menu full of great selections from mussels to Croque Madame! The proprietor owns a vineyard and features great wines under the Georgis label!

After playing Pebble Beach and doing some wine tasting we ended the day at Casanova on a recommendation from a friend. It was wonderful. We had Gnocchi as an appetizer fantastic! The main courses including my pasta dish was fantastic. The waiter suggested a great bottle of wine. Will come back.

Ok food, ok service, nothing to be remembered. It just felt that if they were serving about 25% fewer people, everybody would be happy. Tomato soup was good, fish was fair, everything was pricey. When a town has nothing else to do at night, they need to make sure the dining is a better than average experience.
