“Lovely”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013 via mobile

The food and service were excellent. The restaurant is small and a little pushed for space but very cosy. Our waiter was efficient and knowledgable is a little perfunctory, but the meal was out of this world. The artichoke starter was sublime and the black bean halibut was delicious. My husband had the crab starter and sea bass and loved both. We didn't have desert, but came away full.

The only negative was a very loud group of young people at the next table who were attending a wedding and spent the night shouting across the table at one another. Why can't they speak anymore? They ruined the evening for the whole restaurant.

“Good place for straight seafood”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2013

Had both of the salmon choices on the menu, very well prepared, sides were good also. In a basement, so no views, but would definitely repeat. About $120 for two with wine and tip.

“Very unusual”

A very unusual setting. A little hard to find but certainly worth the effort. Excellent salmon dish. Very casual atmosphere.

“Very convenient to hotel”

Asian fusion food and relaxed atmosphere. Great fish dishes and nice wait staff. Would return every visit but didn't have time on this visit.

“Order the Sea Bass!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013

Funky down-stair location, small and intimate. Enthusiastic maitre'd, SLOW waitress on the night we were there. But the food is SO worth it. Complimentary fried won-ton with ginger salsa is fabulous. Our tempura appetizer was perfectly done...not overwhelmed by batter at all. The almond crusted sea bass was one of the most delicious fish plates I've had in a long time. The halibut cooked in parchment with black beans was also good, but it is out-shone by the sea bass. Whipped potatoes that did not taste fresh (and slow service) gives this a 4 star instead of 5.
