Reserved a king suite with fireplace. Room was comfortable with ocean view. Front desk was extremely helpful and provided early checkin since the room was ready. Continental breakfast was left outside in a picnic basket by 7:15am. Breakfast was very disappointing and would rather they not include it as it included orange juice, 2 overripe bananas, croissant and two spoonfuls of cereal.
3 stars due to breakfast and no one to contact before 8am.

We had a beautiful room with a mountain view. If standing on the balcony you could see the ocean.
I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.
Continental breakfast was left outside the door in a picnic basket. Cute idea.
The hotel is a bit of a stroll from the water and shopping area, but enjoyed the walk.

The room was spacious and clean, however as we were on the ground floor, there was noise from the people above during the night. We found the location to be excellent and the breakfast basket was convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again and have already recommended it to friends.

Room tip: I would ask for a room on the ground floor, with no room above.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

The room was spacious and attractive, had a modern bathroom with good shower pressure and generally in fine condition. It was unseasonably hot when we stayed and whilst the room had no air conditioning it had a fan which we used when needed to maintain a cool temperature. Very much a hotel you could spend a bit of time in as opposed to just a bed for the night.

Breakfast came in a basket left outside our door in the morning. The contents changed the two days we stayed, but involved cereal, croissant / pastry with jams and fresh fruit and orange juice. It felt healthy (!) and arrived in good time ahead of a morning whale watching trip.

Located a few blocks from the heart of Carmel it was in easy walking distance for the evening so you could have a drink at dinner.

The gentleman on the front desk was very helpful at check-in particularly in giving advice on what to do around Carmel and provided a useful map showing the town's restaurants.

What stands out most for me is that the small park where we take the dogs to do their business is right next to the parking area. That is nice and very convenient. It's a little bit further away from town than I am used to. I have a bad back so being right in town is better. In this case, we drive down the hill to town. It's not a big deal though. Our unit was pretty roomy compared to other places we have stayed in Carmel. As usual, it's more pricey than I want it to be and requires a 2 night minimum stay over the weekend. We didn't have an "Ocean View" from our room. I like the fridge and microwave. Our room was a bit quirky with the jetted tub next to the sink, fridge, microwave in the same room as the dining table. I assume it used to be an apartment and the jetted tub was added in that area later on. The morning basket takes the edge off of getting somewhere for breakfast right away. Also, it has a fireplace which is a nice touch for the cooler days/evenings in Carmel. The only thing is that after 5 full blown attempts with the gel fire starter and newspaper, we could not get the fire started. That was disappointing. A/C would be nice. I had to open a few windows to get the air flowing. Anyhow, we will probably stay there again. I'd like to get some kind of "special" or "discount" the next time.

Room tip: The option for me was not listed above. It was me and my wife only. ...not COUPLES
