“Gluten free heaven in Carmel!”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

We had a wonderful dinner at Le St. Tropez. Lovely spot in the heart of Carmel. Food was great. Best gluten free pizza my kids have ever had. Virtually the entire menu could be made gluten free, and still tasty. Our server was very friendly and attentive, suggesting spots in the area to visit.

“Gluten-free and understands food allergies”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

Wonderful gluten-free and able to accommodate our kids with dairy, egg, wheat, sesame, and mustard allergies! Chef is very understanding, and food is delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant. Ate there for lunch and dinner in the same day!

“So good”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

We walked around Carmel and checked out some of the restaurants and to be honest, from first impressions walking around, Le St. Tropez would not have been our first choice, but other places had a wait list and we were hungry, so we tried it. It was so good we actually went back the next night.

The place is not pretentious in any way. The decor is a bit dated (or maybe just not chi-chi), but the great welcome, awesome service and fantastic food make the ambiance.

We had two really really good dinners here. We were laughing at ourselves when we both admitted we wanted to go back again our second night in town instead of trying one of the other many restaurants in Carmel, but the food was just so good and our experience was so lovely. We had other nice meals on our trip up the central coast - and one other really great meal in San Fran, but if I had to pick where to go for dinner tonight, it would be Le St. Tropez no question - if it wasn't 2000 miles away now.

Thanks to our lovely waitress of both nights and to the chefs! Your really made our time in Carmel memorable.

“Drinks and appetizers”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

On a very busy evening we dropped in for pre-meal dining. Even though many were turned away who didn't have reservations, we were seated right away. Such beautiful decor...very French . Lovely appetizers. And it's walking distance from The Pine Inn.

“Wonderful people and great food”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

My husband and I came here on a Saturday night and were very impressed! The food was delicious, definitely get the French onion soup, it compares with some I've tried in Paris.. So good! The seafood was also very delicious and fresh.

We ordered a bottle of wine that they ended up not having, so we were offered an even better bottle that's normally a higher price, at the same lower price.

We had a table by the fire and really enjoyed ourselves. Definitely recommend.
