Wonderful, japanese inspired cuisine executed to perfection by a fantastic team in the kitchen, who are perfectly complemented by a first class front of house. What a delight to find a set menu restaurant that was willing to accommodate dietary requirements with enthusiasm rather than the usual disdain. One of the finest dining experiences we have ever had.

Two weeks ago my wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. We had been saving up our visit to Aubergine as we knew it was a special place and this was the night.

We were not disappointed. Truly exceptional food, wine pairing and elegant although not ostentatious decor. This was the best dining experience we have had outside of Michelin starred restaurants in Paris.

We had the 4 course meal including dessert prepared by the pastry chef and the wine pairings were superb ... Justin Cogley's reputation is well justified and Nathaniel the sommelier and restaurant manager certainly showed that he knows his stuff.

This was the biggest number we have spent on a meal outside of Alain Ducasse in Paris. Save up if you want a special night out.
Highly recommended.

This is a splurge for any diner but well worth it. The tasting menu with wine parings is a sensuous experience any one who appreciates culinary creativity will enjoy. The variety is fantastic and the chef even made horseradish ice cream with beats qualify as a desert I wanted more of(and for someone who loves chocolate and sweets to end all meals would have told you should have been disappointing; it was not!) . The lamb was without a peer and cucumber ice was surprisingly enjoyable as a pallet pleaser. I splurged for the Japanese imported beef doubling the cost of the meal but would do it again. While I have had it before, the preparation in seaweed and salt made it sensational - almost as tender as Toro sushi but tasting like steak! I highly recommend this experience. Book in advance. Service was very good but not perfect (a delayed wine pour and some extra time between courses). Despite a 6:15 pm start, we were not rushed. Definitely one of my best meals ever.

If you not going to spurge for the tasting menu then go another time. We also splurged for the premium wine pairing which was amazing, special and ones we had never had before that went perfectly with the food. Everything was cooked perfectly except the scallop dish which was overcooked. The desert was a nice surprise, beets, horseradish and chocolate.

If you are considering the hotel I would say the following words cute, cozy but dirty...too bad would be a perfect pairing as well.

This is one restaurant you either love or hate it, for this basic reason there is no leftover to doggy bag the food and you may have to find a late snack if you are a big eater. As most of the restaurant clientele are Americans, this place should restyle their food proportion. If you are looking for a big value meal, please visit Andree Bouchée. For us we love Aubergines. The service was excellent. The food, presentation, proportion and quality was great. We chose the degustation menu ($125) and brought our own Bergstrom wine and paid the $30 corkage charge. The only feedback I would give is that the owners or chef should kept its roots either totally French or totally American French versus presenting French-Japanese ingredients, to bring the costs down. The 4 guests sitting besides us must had a rude shock when their bill came, was not sure whether he heard the wait staff informing him the special for the night, top grade marbled japanese beef at $35 per oz... Can you imagine 4oz (113g) Japanese beef costing us$140, to most Americans this would be outrageous and the portion tiny for a person but this is the cost of importing top grade Japanese beef. That's why this restaurant has several unhappy campers.
