Depending on the time of year, this beach will either be fully walkable down to Ribera Beach (when the Carmel River is low, like it was in August) or only walkable to the Carmel River which is connected to the ocean (which it was in April).

I stayed here for a week and I went walking along the beach at least three times. It was a different time of day at each visit. So each walk was different. You can walk all the way to Pebble Beach golf course if you want to.
This is one of the best beaches connected to a town (Carmel) that I have ever been on. A walk down Ocean Ave. right to the beach after you passed some great restaurants and shops. A must see and hang out for awhile and enjoy!!
This beach is nestled between Carmel by the Sea beach and the more dangerous Carmel Beach. Plenty of white sands, a fresh water estuary with sea birds where the Carmel River meets the sea and a more gentle surf along one side of the beach give it its own special charm. Well maintained restroom facilities make it perfect for a family picnic or beach day. Parking lot is free but small - however unlike its more popular neighbors we have never had a problem parking.
Large bay, large sandy beach, pebble beach can be seen on the right when facing the sea. A beautiful stop in Carmel.
Nice big whiteish sanded beach right at the bottom of the main high street. Good free parking and toilets close to the beach. Great trees to climb there too!
Really nice place to take the family for a picnic after a morning checking out the shops at the top of the hill.
