We just love watching the dogs run free and play on the beach. We have a great time watching them enjoy themselves so much.
Besides that, the scenery is beautiful!

This beach is really nice, beautiful views, great waves, some surfers out there and kids in the shallow water. Short walk from the parking lot down a pretty big sand dune to the beach. If you are going with small kids - I wouldn't recommend bringing a stroller (even a jogging one that works well at the beach) or a wagon. It was really more of a pain than we wanted to deal with on that hill. Also, a note if you're bringing kids, the bathroom is at the top of the hill, so try to get a stop in before you head down. The parking lot isn't huge but it was completely full the whole time we were there (weekend visit). It rotated pretty quick though, circle a few times and you'll find a spot. We pulled over to the left side lot and loaded up the kids afterwards so we could get out our spot and out of the fray. The whole family loved the beach. Tons of dogs around, and although they had a doggie bag station, we had to avoid a couple of piles of poop which was pretty gross. I'm going to say something about the weather. We thought it was going to be cooler and breezy like some of the other beaches we've visited. Not really. It was a warm day, and although there was a breeze at times, shorts and t shirt would be perfect for a warm spring day (bring sunscreen!). Overall, great beach and I highly recommend. Just beware of the hill, not huge by adult standards, but with little ones, pack lightly. :) PS - The water - absolutely freezing!

Love the sugary sand between my toes, the gentle crescent-shaped beach, the views of famous Pebble Beach Golf Course in the distance, the welcome for our dogs, and memories of so many visits from childhood and the promise of creating new memories with each visit. One of my favorite places on earth.

This is a really nice open beach that is just nice to take a leisurely walk along. There is always plenty of parking and really enjoy coming here when I have the time to enjoy it.

Client Eastwood's home town was thee most special place we visited on our road trip from LA to San Francisco. Our tootsies just melted under the silver talcum powder sand. Pine and gnarly sculpture-like driftwood frame its horseshoe shoreline. The timber-clad homes around Carmel ooze charm and affluence. Parking near the beach was busy, but not impossible. Carmel village is classy and cute. Took the 17 mile drive for $10. Good, but not sure it was worth the charge. Carmel hotels are expensive, so for more choice, try Monterey next door.
