We stayed at Tickle Pink Inn for 3 nights. Although our room was not ready at 3 p.m. as we were told it would be it was so nice outside and sitting on the deck that we did not mind waiting. We checked in our room and there was some construction going on in the room next door that was a little annoying but only for the 1st morning. After that hour stay was fantastic. We loved our room #21. Beautiful views and the fireplace was wonderful. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed the wine and cheese reception and breakfast. It is a great location and look forward to visiting again one day.

The service was absolutely wonderful. Upon arrival, we were given champagne and chocolates after we settled into our room. Suite 34 had a gorgeous view with a private balony, fireplace and a very large whirlpool tub. Breakfast is readily ordered in room and delivered promptly. The only think negative that I can think to say is that I could hear a child screaming in the suite directly above us. I suppose the ceiling walls were a little thin. My other little nit pick would be that the decor could have been updated. The decor was very 2005 looking; however it was a wonderful experience overall.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tickle Pink Inn. Reasons: (1) the room itself was very nice, with a beautiful view of the ocean. We stayed in Room 17 (upper level). Room 16 has the postcard view, as far as we can tell, but Room 17 is wonderful - and you get Fred the Seagull, to boot!; (2) the service - friendly and helpful; (3) value (meaning price was right for room, view, location, and amenities such as a great wine/cheese bar and breakfast; and (4) location. The sheets and bed were comfortable, and everything in the room was well-organized and spotless.

One unexpected extra which was amazing: champagne, chocolates, and a lovely red rose were delivered to our room. We were tickled pink.

The Inn is maybe five minutes from Point Lobos and another five minutes from Carmel.

Room Tip: Room 16. Has the "money" ocean view, with long balcony. Room 17 is also very nice.

Stayed in the Crow's nest and enjoyed an unbelievable view either from the room or the deck.
Nightly wine and cheese get togethers a chance to meet other vacationeers.
A short drive to Carmel city center or Big Sur.

Room Tip: Crows nest room 28 has the best view of the ocean.

We stayed here for two nights as part of a long weekend to the area, and couldn't have been happier. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms and beds were great. Stayed one night in a standard room, and another in an ocean view suite. Would recommend an upper level floor, since you do get some noise from the floors above. The grounds are superb, the breakfast very nice, and the location perfect for exploring the Big Sur and Carmel region. Definitely hope to be back, would recommend this above Carmel Valley Ranch, although the weather is better at the latter (not as much fog, and warmer).

I would love to give this Inn a higher rating, but can't mostly based on the noise level from other rooms. I am a very light sleeper, but between the guests above us & housekeeping also above us, it sounded like a herd of cattle at times. I could tell you what time they went to bed & what time they got up each day. The only saving grace was the fan I found under the sink; it created white noise to drown out the sound a bit. We stayed in the first room around the corner from the lobby on the 1st floor. The room itself was great, clean & we especially enjoyed the fireplace. Loved the view & balcony, but didn't love that it was right above the breakfast lounge. The breakfast itself was ok, but plentiful for a continental. There wasn't much room in the lounge where breakfast was served (self service) so we ate outside even though it was barely 50 degrees.

We enjoyed staying in a room with a view & fireplace in the highlands, but sadly won't stay here again just because of the room noise.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights for our 25th anniversary and truly felt spoiled. The champagne and chocolates were a nice surprise, the room was comfortable, the view gorgeous
and all of the food was wonderful, particularly the Sunday breakfast. The rooms can be a little noisy though with sound (voices) carrying from outside and next door. We also had a loud stomper upstairs our first night between midnight and one a.m. and that was disturbing since we were still on east coast time so it was 3 a.m. for us. The location is wonderful...perfect for getting an early jump on parking at Point Lobos if you plan to spend the day hiking there. We debated on where to take this trip for a while, but kept coming back to the idea of Carmel. The Tickle Pink is a memorable place and perfect for an anniversary or special occasion, so we wound up very happy with our choice.

Room Tip: Top level to avoid noise possibly.
